Years ago, when one of my sisters was having her third child, her two older daughters (who are both grandmothers of grade-school children now) stayed at my parents house. Come bedtime, they wanted me to read them a story. As I pulled children’s books from small cabinet, they spotted a catalog on top. That’s what they insisted I read. Thankfully they fell asleep before I did, but it was a mighty close race.
