She didn’t appreciate his scientific genius.

You can hear him coming now…

She didn’t like his tone of voice.

He was here, and then he was gone.

He was running toward me speaking in a high voice.

And then as he passed by his voice changed – it got lower.

You’d better hope his effect doesn’t affect you.

He’s really just a blip on the radar.

Reminds me of the time the cop stopped me for running a light. When asked why, I told him I was going so fast that the red light shifted to yellow… ( I know, that’s not the Doppler Effect, it just reminded me.)

She didn’t question him ‘cause she doesn’t wanna make waves.

One of my physics professors told us a story of how he got out of a speeding ticket. He knew he wasn’t going as fast as the officer claimed, so he gave the cop a quick lesson in the Doppler Effect. I’m not sure if the cop understood, or was bored (or amused at being told “a new one”!), but it worked! ☺️
