Reality is far more complex than some ideologies allow for and this is what happens when you try to simplify things thay cannot be simplified. When we raise the standards to hold office to include reasonable intelligence, much of this nonsense will go away.
A good friend of me & my Wife recently moved to NC. We plan to visit in the fall. We’re thinking maybe to mess with the good people of NC I’ll use the ladies loo & my wife use the men’s. Are people required to carry their birth certificates there now ?
According to our national embarrassment, Gov’nor (abbreviated for you Polish people) Pat McCrory, the reason he signed the bill, which was drafted and passed by the legislature in 5 hours in a special session, Was to protect little girls in the women’s room.
There are several things wrong with this logic: He would rather that a man who thinks he’s a woman, go to the men’s room since little boys don’t need protection.
It assumes that all LGBT are sexual predators and pedophiles. I am not sure that the R’s in this state even know the difference between Lesbian, Gay, bi-sexual or Transgender or even a cross-dresser for that matter. To them they are all “Them-thar-perverts”
The other part of the bill that doesn’t get press is that it denies North Carolina citizens from bringing charges in State Court for cases involving denial of Civil Rights. Yes, you read that right, The law not only denies civil rights, but it denies the ability to sue over the denial of those same rights.
LGBT are not the only people Pat McCrory is afraid of. (I have no problems with LGBT, but then again, I’m secure in my sexual identity so I won’t “catch” homosexuality from a dirty toilet seat.)
Pat the Pitiful is also afraid of illegal immigrants and Muslims. Yes, North Carolina is one of those states that don’t allow “Them kind” in our not-quite Christian State. I say not-quite because the legislation to officially declare Christianity (exact denomination of Baptist was not specified) as the official state religion was voted down.
So this is southern hospitality, North Carolina style:No LGBTNo MuslimsNo illegal immigrantsNo shirtNo shoesNo service
In 1972, I was driving down to my first duty station with my new wife. As we crossed the border into North Carolina on US-301 (I-95 was not complete then), there was a billboard. The top of the billboard read, “Welcome to North Carolina.” Under it was a picture of a white knight on a white horse with a white lance. Under that read “Home of the United Klans.”
We had two strikes against us. We were Catholic and we were from the North. The only reason we made it through the state was because we were white and we were military,
And just who is Pat McCrory going to hire to enforce this law? I have just the guys: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/d5/fb/de/d5fbdebd8bf15b3cf004ab4ea106d48d.jpg
