Now I have to continue on. I need to know the chicken’s motivation, and why the cat said nothing, not even shying off when the chicken showed up. And what had the dog done to the cat and the chicken to merit this? Will the human intervene? Will the fur and feathers fly? Can the palpable tension be sliced into convenient pumpkin pie portions?
