Look out! Once a something starts moving, it gets some momentum and a massive object can be hard to stop.

I once had a guidance counselor who as it happens was also a fine tennis player. The shock of those who saw him as nothing but a guidance counselor was palpable.

You may have encountered the maxim “consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.” That’s taken out of context. The full version is “A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines.” —Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882) American writer and philosopher, “Self-Reliance” (1841)

I’ve been pretty active most of my life. I noticed the look of disappointment on my new neighbor, who was returning from a run, when he realized that my bike was electric. In my latter years I just don’t have the energy I used to. I still exercise but in the safety of my home where I can stop and rest if I need to.

That’s how I felt when I switched to paying bills through my bank’s web site.
