Usually, when a child starts hiding like that there is an issue that needs addressing; my first question would have been why are you hiding in there? If it is not hide and seek it needs to come to the surface.

Sorta reminds me of the time when our youngest daughter got into the cupboard and removed the labels from the canned goods. Was an ’entertaining week or two with the meals we had.

Plus you have all the fun of washing everything before you put it back.

I did that when I was a little kid. It was my home or my club house. The kitchen also had a column of drawers, so I figured out how to pull them out just right to make a set of stairs to the top of the counter.

I remember doing that as a child. My mom handing me a cloth and told me to dust the shelves out. No sense wasting an opportunity to save herself some work. I did it and felt like a big girl. I liked hiding in cupboards a few times. Kids explore.

Our kids did that – we told them to stay out of the cabinet below the sink and labeled the cleaning compounds with red sticky frown faces so they knew not to touch. In the other floor level cabinets with edibles – we labled the boxes with the yellow sticky smiley faces so they knew they were not harmful. They also had to put everything back the same way it was when they were finished.

I had a male cat that used to hide in the cabinets like that. I figured he just wanted peace and quiet from the female cats

OMG! Really? Was your upbringing so bad that that’s the first you jump too? How sad. And to think……this is just a comic strip. You should talk to your therapist about it

I forgot. While I was skinny I could get in the closed trundle bed and hide from everybody.

All great plots and plans involve pots and pans.
