I can hear the moans and groans of “no action” coming up…

4 panels would move this a little faster. I am a little anxious to see the intersection of the musical and Roboto.

My Spidey Sense is tingling… I think the fact that the Futura robot is completely silent will be an important plot point in the story’s climax.

“Boys and girls, can you say ‘foreshadowing’? Here in Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood, that’s what we call it when four people, like me and my three-man crew, ‘shadow’ y’all before we steal your wallet. Four equals 3 + 1, ‘cause here on the streets, math can be fun!”

Good to have Mysta back! We asked for a superhero! (Well, she’s the closest to it) I think she’ll fit well into this story arc!

I’m wondering if the Mr. Roboto character is in the play or being in a warehouse stole the costume??? My thinking he just stole it!!!

Mysta looks great! Let’s see what transpires next! I am intrigued!

I think this passes the Bechdel Test. It measures, in a work features at least two women who talk to each other about something other than a man. Of course, C3PO is technically a male representation of a droid.

1-HANDLES: I’m sorry your relationship with Sugar Daddy has hit a rough patch Barber…

2-…but maybe he just needs to sow some wild oats. You know, plow a different field for a while. Pork a new pig. Get new grease for his tractor.

3-BARBER POLE: HA! Nothings grew on his patch since the dustbowl! No worries. Him AND his money will be back to me and “his” baby in no time. Speaking of…where is that kid? I haven’t seen it for weeks…

Folks looking for some future connection? Obviously haven’t been following this strip recently. Maybe but I doubt it.

Graphic novel? What about the 1927 Fritz Lang movie? That’s the source material.

Mysta will have a speaking role, as False Maria. It’s only as the robot, before she will turn into False Maria, that she will be mute. Kind of confusing I know.

Roboto pining for a robot companion in the last strip and now we have this. Foreseeing a robotic hook-up in the not-too-distant future.

I can’t believe Willy007 is not here since his favorite dame will be featured in this story.

At the diner, Kandikane and Mysta Chimera sit down together and talk about the forthcoming Metropolis musical production, in which Mysta is cast.

It seems inescapable that this foreshadows some dramatic interaction between Mysta-Futura and Mr. Roboto. But how will it play out (ahem!)?

Mysta is looking more mature these days, and I suspect her acting chops are likewise up to the task of pantomining-in-a-musical, too. I hope this story has a strong finish and does not do a late fade like some have of late….

could mr roboto turn out to be ms roboto? if they’re going to have the character pretend to be mysta it might be a possibility! or maybe they’ll just drug everyone in the theatre!

Dang! Writer Mike Curtis must have ESP. I was going to post “When we see the Vitamin Flintheart/Mysta Chimera play story reappear?” and here it is. I personally would love to see a really long storyline again. I am glad the VC/MC play angle is back.
