Pmm’s so used to Cranky’s histrionics that she can’t imagine this might be a physical health problem.

The neighborhood will be a little safer as Ed won’t be receiving seemingly harmless items in the hands of an average person.

The city should use this break in the action to maintain the roads leading to Ed’s house.

What is wrong with them? Don’t they realize they’re only hurting themselves and the people who relies on their essential service with their petty strikes?!

Ed is now resorting to huffing? Maybe that will mellow him out.

With the drivers on strike how will you know whether or not the package has been stolen off your porch?

In most cases the shipper decides who the carrier is, unless you stipulate a carrier and in that case you pay extra for it. BTW…Cranky? That is you. People like you ruin the reading experience for the rest of us.

I think Ed can relax. With the (fictional) competition, UPX will strike, but there will be other(fictional) delivery companies to pick up the slack. Bean’s End will not just sit still and wait for just one delivery if Ed is among the big paying consumers.
