I’m not going with the sunflower joke – too easy and would probably get me in trouble. But I do want to know who put the crease in old Clark’s pants ? Talk about a mangle iron.

Looks to me that Suzy’s Sunshine Sorority has competition… well, not really…. there’s only ONE real “Sunshine” in my book here on Ballard Street, or anywhere else for THAT matter… and if when I get elected, I will enforce a long forgotten BS ordinance BSCC 4.5.12.3.3.4b disallowing “…public display of celestial and/or heavenly bodies… except as allowed with appropriate permits granted for artistic display….” and that ain’t appropriate “art”…..

I made it! A little late … but it’s an extra bus and another transfer from where I’m staying this week. Maybe tomorrow I can leave earlier.

Off for my nap…. at least now I know I can make it to Ballard St. this week.

No one where I’m visiting has managed to break the ancient computer since my last visit, so the bus is still running.

(In reality, the person I’m staying with is 94, so I have to give her credit for having a computer in the first place….but she manages to crash it with regularity, something most people can’t do even if they try!

And she sometimes lets her 8 year old grandson “play” on it,unsupervised…. so until I arrive, I never know for sure whether I’ll have internet access.)

Good morning… or good night….When I wake up, it’ll be another sunny day on Ballard St. and the salon will be open.

Ballard St. Orthopedics and Dry Cleaners is doing a “land-office business” since a good many of the residents in the area are in need of knee and hip replacements. State-of-the-art techniques favor the new “angular” joint definition, which is currently all the rage, with clothing that is very crisply starched and pressed.Ballard St. residents have created a certain “look”… a style that says, “I live on Ballard St.”( BSPI )( Ballard St. Press International )

As the Cove is still within Ballard County limits, I do hope you’ve gotten a permit for fireworks displays. BatPug is taking some sick time (hope he’ll recover by tomorrow!), so Lt. Horatio Canine will be contacting you to follow up on that.(Not that I’m a “busybody” or anything…)

Just to let you know, Lil Bitzy Mitzy and Little Miss Millie High Maintenance (along with her sister, Good Golly Miss Molly ) do travel in very different circles — one prefers the dockside bars down at the Cove , while the other two frequent the upscale supper clubs in the Ballard Upscale Garden Section . There is no love lost among them, and when they do encounter one another, they have been observed pointedly ignoring each other with noses high in the air.

Sadly, at the Fraternal Order of Sunny Fellows, a Clark Bar isn’t candy, but the result of Clark being a bad boy…again.@beviek, if you were fooled by me yesterday, you should have read the fine print. Always do that and you Won’t Get Fooled Again.

I still have’nt quite figured out Ballard Street. I have morning news on and they were just showing a whole BBQ pig that has my mouth watering (though I don’t know if its as good as mine were). I made a BBQ oven in my back yard at the old house-first time laying brick (real fire-brick)whole baby pig in a good overnight marinade of mixed citrus, onion and garlic then slow bake over hot coals. YUM!

The Costume Annex at WWOI (Wonderful World of Inflatables, Ballard St. N, always open) is fully stocked with the requisite flamingo outfits for new pledges.
