It’s great. Looks like a rain storm ended in panel 1. Is that the Aurora “Phantom of the Opera” in panel 3?

Tess has a job alright…with Mr. Crime!!!!! Okay, that’s a wild guess. Probably not a good one, right? Tess is most likely not a crook. It is weird how she was telling Gravel Gertie about her new job and not anyone in the squad room. Who confides in Gravel Gertie? Goats? Not me, that’s for certain.

Forgot to mention how good today’s post-snow storm strip is. Hey, say “snow storm strip” five times fast!

I bet Davey’s a collector of some sort. Mylar bags come in handy…

Hmmm… I can’t post images anymore. I tried posting an image of Mylar from the animated feature Rock & Rule.

Well, at least Davey Mylar has good taste in women. But something else struck my attention… why is Crime Inc. delivering to Mr. Mylar? For some reason, the strip on June 16 2011 is coming to mind.

Davey hittin’ on Blaze? Looks like we’re touching on “preferences” here.

I think Davey’s pretty lucky that he got turned down.

Does Davey Mylar live in his mother’’s basement and draw comics on mylar film, the old-fashioned way? I see he is a fan of The Scarlet Sting…. And what is Blaze Rise’s interest here in a quiet house in the suburbs?

That does look like the Aurora Phantom of the Opera Monster Model, except without the base of the guy imprisoned. Here’s a link to a picture:http://www.professorplastik.com/monster_site/proscenium/kits/phantom_kit/blowups/phantom_my_kit.htm

I was wondering when we’d find out what was found in the rubble of George Alpha’s clubhouse (and who found it).Whatever it was, Mr. Crime wants it!

And poor Davey is looking for a “killer” date.

Doubleup and Davey have similar tastes in women and action heroes.

Great detail on the Phantom of The Opera, which for various reasons, we have ours within view right now! Visual confirmation.

To the authors, thank you for not only showing the Wall of Hats, but making it crucial to the storyline! The last time I remember seeing it was the Walleye & Pike arc; Pike also had henchmen with very similar masks as Blackjack.

The segues to the Mr Crime storyline are excellent Gould narrative tributes. Fun, excellent work all around.

When Doubleup made a pass at Blaze, she laughed him off. Here, she’s a lot more artful as she turns Davey’s interest aside. It adds a nice dimension to her character.

CORRECTION TO YESTERDAY’S ENTRY:Research shows that the Real McCoys ran 1957 – 1963 and the Hillbillies 1962 – 1971, so it did appear that a classy show was replaced. However, The Munsters and Adams Family were essentially parallel 9 – 64 to Spring 66. The confusion on my part stems from the fact our area has only two TV stations, and I was in the Army 1962 through 1964. Usually, in those days, one did not channel surf, and one was generally on one station for the evening. One of the benefits of being in the Army was getting weaned off the Idiot box, and 1965 through 1967 had other interests than TV, thus most viewing of Munsters/Adams was through the later reruns. It was a real thorn in those days when both networks would put the best shows on at the same time, and pulp the rest of the evening. That’s probably why VCRs sold like hotcakes when they became available. And no channel-surfing like today. The mechanical tuners would not last a month in today’s channel surfing world.Oh, if one missed an episode of Dragnet, one could pick it up a year later on the other channel as “Badge 714”.

Anyone else remember that famous line from Dragnet/Badge 714:“That Dirty Ernie!”?

It’s so funny, the trivial knowledge picked up reading these comments. I love Tracy, and this comment section just adds to the experience. Dragnet, for some reason reminds me of the old t.v. commercial, “Tum tum tum, tum tum tum tum tum..” (Done to the tune of the theme song.)

    @ falcon_ 370f

That was, apparently, her twin sister Hot Rize, who was killed in a flour silo while trying to shoot it out with Tracy and Sam. Her sister that we see now is Blaze Rize, who is working for Mr. Crime in exchange for info that enabled her to find Flakey Biscuits, whom she felt was responsible for her sister’s death.
