That 1958 Chevrolet doesn’t have a custom paint job. I remember some cars back then left the factory with a two-tone paint job. One color was always white. I suppose it was a major sales point for style, like side vents and fins.

Regarding “We feel the love;” I’m sorry my comment was misconstrued. I was making fun of the one guy who was the expert on drug use, and also trying to praise Jim’s Journal (which I love). I also love Teresa and Frog Applause! Please don’t send Vlad after me. I’m too old to die. The sarcasm was directed at the mystery writer, not Teresa. I’ll refrain in the future. I love Teresa’s work because they really do stretch the mind.

I developed freckles as a lad after laying out in the sun for ill-advised amounts of time. I enjoy how freckles look on others, but on me, they have a tendency to become something more sinister.

I’m Scot and, shall we say, of pale complexion. Over the past few months I’ve found it necessary to have several small skin cancers removed. According to my physician, the underlying cause of these blemishes is the over exposure to sunlight when I was a kid working on my parents farm. In those days I had freckles and never wore a shirt or hat. My hair was cut in the style of the day (1940s & early 1950s)… something we called a GI buzz cut. So … the damage is accumulative. Over exposure to the sun 65 years ago resulted in skin cancer today

Has anyone seen a cartoon strip, TV sketch, or scene in a show, where an academic is publishing a paper that defines himself as “normal” and everyone else as “abnormal/mentally ill/personality disordered”?

I was in Dublin a couple of years ago during the middle of a heat wave. Everyday I would walk through St Stephen’s Green and see all the Irish people sunbathing. My only thought was “This will not end well”.

Arthur Godfrey comest to mind. He said he was comparing freckles to Doris Day. He said he had freckles in places where she didn’t have places. I just got that joke this very day…..

Freckled people are unique…because like snowflakes, no two are alike. I have, at every opportunity, extensively researched this.
