Alice: Ha ha! Ha ha ha ha! Daddy! Look at my hair! It's crazy! Look, Daddy! Noise: tzt BLAM! Dad: Yow. Alice: You'd think Daddy's warn me when he's wearing exploding socks. Petey: He's a dangerous man. I keep telling you.
You need to be isolated from everything else better. The weaker the isolation, the better your chances of being zapped before the charge can really build. I was at a science museum a little while ago where kids were allowed to touch a van de graaff generator, and it was funny watching the really long hair on girl’s heads standing straight up. Afterward, the exhibit guide would safely discharge the static by using a metal rod to ground. Nice-sized spark off the rod, too.
At times, I’ve had so much static electricity of my own I could make my hair follow my comb above my head, without touching it directly. It’s weird to see that!

Um, if you’re carrying around a bomb, don’t blame someone else if you’re the one to pull the trigger.

a dangerous man!! LOL!!! If you want to see a dangerous man, wait until Calvin and Lio get to adulthood. (If they do, that is.)

Alice, I’ve read about Benjamin Franklin, and you’re no Ben Franklin! —But you have discovered the power of electricity! Ouch!
