Mike – thanks for a shot of reality to contrast the “spend ’til you drop” holiday season philosophy.I’ve done work in a homeless shelter, and I know the stories of people who’ve ended up there. No matter how bad off you think you are, there is always someone who has less.

As the astute detective said, hmm. Lizz (looking good in panel 3, as in 2 too) may be only partly correct.

Just heard this and thought I would share it with you all. Another Christmas song with the lyrics all messed up. It’s a song you should all Noel. (grin)

Good morning VB and to all Tracynatics. -A homeless shelter with “bad guys” mixed in with the homeless … truly a rich environment for quirky characters. Team Tracy never disappoints.

Isn’t that one of Putty Puss’ flunkies in the wanted poster behind the chief? and dont get me wrong i LOVE the “retro references” to old tracy villains, but i had always thought that pouch, mumbles, the mole, etc were dead a long LONG time ago

Patton’s getting smart as a whip - with advancing age ! As it should be.

See how dumb and discouraged he was back on August 19th, 29th and 30th 1934.(Larceny Lu case) Even thinking of resigning from the Force.

One of my favorite film noir moments…

Philip Marlowe: Hmm. General Sternwood: What does that mean? Philip Marlowe: It means, hmm.

I remember the comic strip that Gould did of Tracy and the Mole. That by far is what I consider the best meaning of Christmas ever. I’ve used copies of it on Christmas cards several years running :)

Well that depends on how long they’ve been there. Depending on the state, under the rule of “Adverse Possession” squatters may in fact acquire property rights if they live their long enough and the land owner fails to exercise and defend his property rights (by evicting them) although knowing that they are in fact living there on a continual – though not necessarily continuous – period of time as defined by law.
