I used to work with a gal who actually carried a navy duffel bag. I think it made her feel important that she needed to carry so much junk.

I started carrying a European man’s shoulder bag (NOT a purse) because I have to carry so much stuff pertaining to my diabetes. Then I thought “Hey, it would be handy to carry this, that, and the other thing.” Gave it to my wife (NOW it’s a purse) and got a bigger one. Now it’s getting crowded. Seems the ladies had a good idea all along.

OK, flip flops I get, because pedicures can strike at any moment, but toilet paper? Greg, get real.

Also, who uses, let alone carries around, a calendar these days if you have a cell phone? And photos when you have a phone and/or iPod? Same argument.

Why are you limiting yourself to one carry-on anyway? Unless you’re flying with Spirit, most major airlines allow two carry-ons, and a purse definitely counts as one of them. I can’t carry a purse in addition to a computer bag and normal carry-on and get away with it.

You nailed that one, Greg missed a big opportunity to be accurate – and adult. He definitely needs a consultant if he’s gonna go anywhere near purse territory.

Yeahp. you need TP if you ever find an un stocked bathroom! I actually have the most teeny tiny perfect person! !! I bought it at the Art Museum Gift store. It was created by airline stewardesses, I must say, it is the most perfect purse in the entire universe!!! It better be, for the price I paid! I plan to use it forever. My clever neo classical gothic thrift store buckle purse is broken. anyway. the new purse is like, “Baggalini” brand. I think. It’s about the size to fit an old paperback book, back when we had them. OH, that’s what the author of this strip, forgot the Ipad for Tiff’s bag. OH. and you sillies. Girls do not need feminine “protection” now, in this modern age. The modern contraceptives, the “pill” will protect you from that too. ; P women do not get the monthly times any more. It’s probably why YOUNG women get cancer and end up on Cheerio boxes for cancer awareness messages. Recently, little steel wallets were a big fashion trend for the ladies. Now, everything is big bags again. sighs.

A 15 or 16 year old girl with out ‘feminine hygiene’? I find THAT hard to believe! Of course, the boys could have been to ashamed to say the actual word so “That thing there” would have sufficed.

Tiff has the glazed look in her eyes of over-satiety, IOW too much stuff. She’s supposed to be beautiful, but she looks so jaded and old beyond her very few years. Consumerista.

Okay, I’ll confess that I carry a large purse. My reasoning has always been that I may be away from home, away from my car, or away from my desk at work, but I will ALWAYS be within a few steps of my purse. So if I might need it, it goes in the bag.

We can discuss the contents all we want— but why did Tiffany just show her inner workings to two male classmates? Doesn’t ring a little hollow for the girl who is outwardly such an exhibitionist, but inwardly guarded?

yeah, laugh it up. It’s always annoying when a guy asks you if you wouldn’t mind putting his stuff in your purse because he’s too “manly” to have a bag of his own. Also, if you have a bag you’re much less likely to lose your keys, phone, sunglasses, and wallet.

Am I the only one who doesn’t get why people can’t be bothered to read any of the previous comments before they post? Aside from the duh factor of posting what someone else has already pointed out hours ago, why would you expect anyone to bother to read what you’ve written when you clearly can’t give anyone else’s comment the same respect?

Trust me. There are LOTS of bathrooms in the U.S. that have empty T.P. dispensers. My gal pal carries a pack of t.p. she picked up in a camping store to be prepared just in case. She been glad to have it more than once

@mojitobaby; I used to try reading all the comments before putting my own in. By the time I got to the end, I had forgotten what I wanted to say. And it was absolutely not worth writing them down and then typing them in.

I wouldn’t say I don’t respect what other people have to say at all. I’m sorry if you think that.

And as to TP, many of us get spoiled by the luxury brands we use at home, and the school may have a cheap and scratchy single ply. When traveling, I often too my own (also take my own nose tissues even for a weekend trip).

I only carried a tape measure when shopping for furniture in resale stores (kept a plan printed to scale of the areas I was working on as well -I do CAD). I left much furniture back in IL when I moved and have many pieces from those shops -such fun! I also bought new from catalogs like Design Toscano (carved wood). I have allergies and now never take medications so I buy the small packets of nose tissues that stay neat and contained to take for all day events (as an adult, also take my beverage frozen in a cooler to those).
