Is it just me or does this strip make even less sense than most of Oliphant’s garbage. I mean I can understand why Democrats would be confused by someone who actually pays his debt and his taxes, but is it really that hard to understand…?

“I don’t get it, you NEVER had this problem when I was House Majority leader!”
“That’s because you were House Majority leader, darling”

Jon Stewart said it best: “I can’t believe that there are three women in the world who would want to f&%# Newt Gingrich!”

Newt doesn’t tenaciously stick with a woman who’s ill.

Outside of Newt’s gigantic hypocrisy about having an affair while calling out Clinton for his, I don’t give a f**k about who Newt is or isn’t sleeping with.

His PR firm “leaks” details about the affairs to sell books.

Newt, just the latest GOP joke.

Although I’m no fan of Newt, I don’t see why this (the Affair of the Necklace) is worthy of comment. Is there something particularly scandalous or hypocritical about the purchase? Did he pay for it out of his campaign funds? Is he otherwise claiming straitened circumstances? Did he buy it while still married to his previous wife?
The drawing is funny enough, but the gag is basically just “Old Man buys Expensive Jewelry for Trophy Wife,” which is hardly news.

^ Hmmm….I believe the real gag is Ole Newter hisself. He sure enough makes me and everyone I know gag. Small wonder she has a “headache.” (BTW, that wouldn’t be Ann Coulter, would it? Coulter has to be Newter’s wet dream…)

So Gingrich blowing $500,000 at Tiffany’s is not worthy of comment, yet somehow Al Gore’s alleged utility bills prove that global warming isn’t happening. And Eliot Spitzer getting a $4000 call girl instead of a $100 street walker is evidence of his lack of frugality.
Hmm. I detect some hypocrisy.

This comic is cruel in its likelihood.

As my daddy used to say “ain’t no fool like an old fool.”

If “Newt” Gingrich had not made such an issue of President Clinton sleeping around at the time when the country should have been more concerned about terrorist attacks from Bin Laden and Al Quaida and, instead, pushed his scandalous affair front-and-center on a par with treason or other “high crimes and misdemeanors” that would warrant an impeachment and trial, then Newt would not be making himself “fair game” today for his own scandalous affair(s) and possibly setting himself for more (affairs) with a standing revolving checking account at Tiffany’s of New York City ? ? ?
