I received several messages over the weekend inquiring about the book deal. Yes, I do still have books to sell. And here’s the pitch for all you newcomers (welcome, BTW!):The Endtown mini-comic that I produced for Comicpalooza 2011 is now available to YOU for the offensively low price of $2.50 (price includes s&h, international add $1 for each copy ordered ). Besides sporting a snazzy full color cover (http://tinyurl.com/3uytdhy), it contains an all-new 22 page story that is available nowhere else. And just because I feel like doing it, I’ll sign and personalize (if desired) each and every copy I mail out. Simply pay via PayPal using my email address, aaronneathery@gmail.com, and be sure to include your mailing address. If you can’t pay with PayPal, email me for my snailmail. And, just so you know, I’m completely open to donations. The cat and mouse that live in my head will thank you. :-)
@TimeTraveler Yeah animal “instincts don’t” usually “come with a dimmer switch” but human have instincts and impulses that they have to subjugate all the time. That what makes Wally’s situation different from a regular cat’s. He’s a cat mutated from a human. I guess the question is to what extent.
well we already know he is more human then cat. Animals don’t cry for emotions, only humans do that. That reminds me, did any “real” animals survive the war?
Wally is afraid he won’t be able to control himself.I think he’s beginning to love Holly…he doesn’t WANT TO hurt her. Love and logical thinking will surmount instinct.
Wally is just afraid that he doesn’t have control.
If Wally does catch her, I am confident he will realize his human instincts far outweigh the cat and mouse game. Really, of all the cats I have had some caught mice, but not one ever bit one, much less ate one. They would bring the ones that died of heart attacks to me to deal with. Most of my cats lived outside in a neighborhood were almost everyone had 2+ acres (0.5 hectares). We almost never had mice even though everyone had a field.

It’s like Aaron’s reading our comments and writing the dialog from us. I still want to know where Holly shops for her shoes.

1. Instincts don’t come with a dimmer switch. 2. Will this involve track shoes and a net or dynamite and a large mallet.

A literal game of cat and mouse…how…therapeutic. That’s the word. A very interesting way to come to grips with who you are.
