   I am curious about all the people complaining about how boring the strip is now. Was it more exciting to you at some point? If not, why are you so dedicated to continuing to read it? Surely there are strips out there that would cater to you need for more excitement. To each their own. I personally don’t find every single strip earth shattering but always worth reading. This arc shows character personality growths. A new character is being more fleshed out. Impending conflicts, personality clashes, real life stuff is happening or about to happen. Stories don’t always happen as we want them to but if they weren’t good we wouldn’t keep reading them, would we? The story and its pace is up the the cartoonist/writer. We just have to deal. Unless we quit reading it, in which case, we don’t.

   I’m a late Boomer. Hit my formative years in the 70s and 80s. Girls reps were being ruined if it was found out but guys reps were enhanced if it was found out. My conundrum was that if the guys should and the ladies couldn’t, who were the guys supposed to be doing it with?

   I admit being curious about who was and who wasn’t at that age. Most everybody I knew was. There were competitions to see who could “do it” the most (guys AND girls). I was never in the running. Doesn’t seem very smart in hindsight. All that being said, I wouldn’t ask my female friends about whether they were or not. Now if they volunteered the info, I wouldn’t put my fingers in my ears.

   Seems a little too personal of a thing to simply be feeling left out.

   “I’m not doing IT so you can’t be doing IT.” (I don’t think so.)“I’m jealous of you doing IT before me.” (Meh. I don’t think so.)“I’m jealous that you’re not doing IT with me.” (Least likely, I think.)

   Not sure what it could be beyond those. I guess I will have to wait and see.

   Seems to me this is either going to turn into a life lesson for Luann or friendship breakup. Maybe both. Maybe neither. Depends on the writer. The question that intrigues me most though, is why IS Luann feeling “weird” about Gunther’s (and Babs’s) pics? Inquiring minds want to know…

   I understand the distance between being in front and behind the camera and even the necessity to live rather than just commemorating. However, there will come a time when your memories fade and all you have to rekindle them is the pictures that you took. Images of loved ones no longer here are important also. No I am not an advocate for chronicling every moment and minute detail of your life online, just that the memories captured in images can be very important in one’s life.

   When Tank had Nancy Pelosi explain the rules, she said the SJOY didn’t have to be an athlete. So you know where this is going. My vote for SJOY is Donald J. Trump. (It was a close one between him and Mitch McConnell).
