Sometimes I sit and think, and other times I just sit.

At the end of the day I meditate a bit and go over what happened during the day.

Ma daddy never thought and I’ll be damned if ah will.

Wonder what the cat was thinking this whole time?

There are thoughts, and then there are thoughts.

“Great belch” is one. “Can I beat it” is another. “I’d like to get into her pants” is a third.

The three most important things regarding research: location, location, location.

And, of course, the average is pulled WAY down by those who simply sit in front of their TV all day.

And if you think about it, why is everybody down on Weiner for being “average guy”??

Of course there’s nothing valuable to be learned from studying how our brains work, how thoughts are formed and processed. Of course it’s a waste of money for neurologists to measure brain activity, and quantify discrete thoughts (however they defined them, in the study). And of course it’s a given that the scientists’ purpose was to provide an answer to a trivia question, “How many thoughts does a person average on a daily basis?”

Why should we bother understanding how we think? It’s not like we need a manual or anything to DO it…

I’m also reminded of Albert and Hound Dog’s “thinking Contests” in Pogo Possum.

once I thought I was wrong…but I was mistaken..!!!!

That cat may be having deeper thoughts than many of them.

From some of the crap I hear I’m beginning to think that about 60,000 of them are ugly.

There are 86,400 seconds in a day, so most of those thoughts would be second thoughts.

I think I thought…A fleeting idea…But my eye was caught….By a lingering fear…That all thoughts are lost…As quick as they come…And the inevitable cost…Not to all but to some…Is that with thoughts never shared…We live alone in our mind…And can never compare…How we all are of a kind…

Careful, Americans might be offended by being accused of “thinking” — isn’t that what we have accused Bill Clinton and Obama of doing far too much of?
