I can’t tell from the back if she’s wearing her tiara or not.

My dog likes to hop onto a pedestal and look out the window too.

If this were colored, we would see that she is wearing a blue ribbon!

    Wow!

That’s my comment on the March 21st  2019 “CLEO and COMPANY”

    You’ll see why on Sherpa

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

    That’s some scary doggie!

Hmmm… is The Howlk always scary?

Or does he have a well-mannered alter ego, like, say… Bruno Bowser?

I don’t think he’s really Cleo Clifford, cos she’s… you know… a girl…. and she wouldn’t put up with her nice dresses tearing open every time she Howlks out.

In any case… if there’s an alter basset ego involved, I wonder what triggered this appearance….

he seems pretty calm…. but with an intensity of concentration.

Love the nails sliding away together, like a kaleidoscope of evil intent….

Bwah ha ha…. but is he about to turn into a raging tornado… well…. a slow waddling wind puff…. of pure basset power?

BTW… didn’t Ms. Girouard work on this one?

Are you learning to do animation too, Nighthawks?

And while I’ve got you…. thanks for yesterday’s strip!

I’ve had a couple of days where I had to concentrate on other things, and didn’t get back to say more about it….

    but I was quite surprised!

Good job of leading us into your trap!

I did remember the strip from before you added that panel….

Last night I was trying to remember if there had been anything else in its place, but I didn’t think so.

The aforementioned sneaky Ms. Girouard must have actually been the secret camera person.

I should know better than to trust her!

Anyhow…. Gloria and Stanley did invite us to discuss Cleo there today…

I hope Gloria wasn’t expecting some pretty little springtime strip, to go with the fruit salad and finger sandwiches she’s making.

Pretty please… tell her she looks nice today….

or that you like…. sorry Nighthawks…. purplie couches, or maybe just what she’s done with the place.

And don’t make dark remarks about… you know… finger sandwiches…. bwah ha ha….

I don’t think she has that sort of sense of humor….

Though they are Cleo fans, so maybe I’m not giving her credit.

She does put together a nice lunch, I have to say… I’m sure we’re all grateful…. right?

I dunno why Farside thinks she looks gaudy:

    Oh…. now that I step back….

    maybe just a touch….

Now I know what all that screaming was about that I’ve been hearing for the past few hours.

I don’t know……..this is pretty scary, too! But, there isn’t a couch to hide behind today. I love how the claws open and close the big drape. That’s just as scary as the Howlk!

I did notice that you managed to get in some lower eyelidiness and lower lipstick in that color that must not be mentioned. I guess it was to break up all that Spinach GREEN!!!! (yuck ick ptooie)

Meanwhile over at Sherpa’s Bluebonnets, my friend Ed Owens has a variation on the “DO NOT PUSH” theme:
