That seems to be a common complaint lately.

    It’s actually quite bothersome.

Don’t let it bother you, Gloria. There’s a lot of that going around.

Cleo, this is the movie that made your fame! Seven roles! (I know, the producers were too cheap to audition other pups for the other roles). Aren’t you afraid of that flame? It could come round and light you up!

Cleo just did 7 roles so she could get a higher percentage of the gross.

I wish I had gone to see this movie two years ago when it came out. Maybe they’ll show it again this Christmas.

    Hello, once again….

and welcome to the comments for

the Dec 11th  2018 “CLEO and COMPANY”

Featuring another fine poster from StelBel,

to be found, as you probably know, on Sherpa

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

Yes, this was indeed a tour-de-force for our Cleo….

closer to the beginning, not only of her acting career…. but of Cleo and Company Studios.

It’s true that her multiple roles made it easier on the fledgling production company….

but it wasn’t just the cost….

Cleo was still proving herself, and her versatility as an actress… or should I say “actor,” in her mostly male roles in this film….

and the Studio was proving its viability as a hit maker, and its power to attract established Howlywood screenwriters, directors and stars.

And a fine job this movie did!

It was so well received, it was soon copied, of course, by humans….

Though I can’t tell from this barebones version of the poster I found, whether this “Carrey” fellow also performed multiple roles.

They even tried to copy Stel’s virtuoso work with her special, self-designed flame tool….

But of course, they lacked her finesse.

As for Gloria…. please…. don’t worry, my dear…. NO one can keep up….

Come along with all of us to the Tiki…

I have the “Cleo” room reserved in the back… with the Monkey away I’ve just left that name on it for a while.

We can enjoy some giant yak ribs*, as we “yak” about Cleo.

That ought to cheer anybody up.

    * Don’t fret, if you’re a vegetarian, or it’s just too early for ribs….

Full Tiki menu always available of course… special, even lower, prices during our meeting…..

or just feast on complimentary pie and coffee!

I’ll bet Cleo was in my favorite Christmas Carol movie……..The Muppets Christmas Carol. She’s the one standing next to Michael Caine as they bring in the big turkey.

I have to say I am waiting with baited breath to see this film. I love a tour-de-force as much as anyone. And any film that can coax a glowing review like that from the Himalayan Herald has got to be a keeper. They’re brutal!
