If this was about Obama health care plan, Lio would be turning people away that were fifty years old and older. Don’t you know that older just have to learn to live with their pain? The sooner Obama is out, the sooner and better off this country will be.
Obama isnt offering FREE medical care. That would be a single payer system, with the government as the payer. He is trying to establish a competitive alternative pay system for people who cannot afford to buy one from a traditional healthcare provider. There is a BIG difference.

Wake up folks, we already have plenty of socialized programs in the US, at all levels of the government. The US mail, local libraries, our schools and parks. Even the police and fire departments are things we take for granted which at one time people had to pay for. Is it too ridiculous to add health care to the list? We are the ONLY industrialized nation without a comprehensive government program. Ask yourselves, why is that? Are we the only ones to be so afraid of the ridiculous threat of socialism? Or are we so indoctrinated by the current system which only benefits the obscenely rich?

People ask themselves where is the government going to get the money to pay for this? Take a minute to remember all those people out there who are sick and dieing and are asking themselves the same question. People are dieing because they can’t afford treatment.

This is something we can do. And if we don’t do it now I doubt we’ll ever get another chance. This is something BOTH republicans and democrates should be working together on. They need to agree that this should be done, it HAS to be done, and then get it done.

I don’t want to get into a political argument in the comics, for God’s sake, but I do have to say I certainly hope Obama succeeds, since I live in the U.S. It sounds to me, many times, as if some are hoping he fails. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face!
