I wonder why people are walking up to a cat to ask if he knows anything about a girl who walks dogs? Shouldn’t they be asking dogs that question instead?
NATIONAL NAME YOURSELF DAY. “National Name Yourself Day on April 9th each year proposes one day a year to reinvent our names. If you have ever wondered what it would be like to have a different name, this would be the day to find out. Whether you like your name or not, this day is about having fun with a different name.” No thanks. I’m fine with Becky (which is a nickname for Rebecca) so I will not be naming myself anything else – not even for just one day.
We had clear skies here in Southern Wisconsin so we got to see the eclipse. It was interesting to see, but it was nothing compared to the August 2017 eclipse which was a total eclipse here. With that eclipse, it got dark and the temperature plunged by 8 degrees. This eclipse was only 87%. I actually did expect it to get at least a little dark, but if you didn’t know there was an eclipse going on, you never would have noticed. It didn’t get any darker at all and the temperature only dropped by one degree. So, as I said, it was interesting and I’m glad I got to see it, but I wouldn’t call it spectacular. Not here, anyway, though I know in other parts of the United States it was great.
In central Florida it was supposed to be about 50%. It never did get any darker & I don’t think the temp dropped at all. I didn’t go outside to see it, but thought it I would notice it dim- at least like a cloudy day.
OT In the western mountains near Rangeley, Maine, we experienced a total eclipse that was nothing short of exciting. The skies were sunny and clear. Vehicles lined Route 4, a testament to the spectacle, with the count surpassing 500 before hubby lost track. My husband took our vehicle for servicing amidst this celestial event. The wildlife fell silent. The temperature dropped approximately five degrees. The sunlight, filtered through a lace curtain on our staircase window, gradually dimmed until the intricate patterns were swallowed by the encroaching darkness. It may seem trivial, but it was a delightful observation. Tears of joy were an uncontrollable response to the awe-inspiring eclipse. I took several photos and that was a miracle also.
Ask Lil’ Oliver, Jellybean, Bluebell, Mr. Hollingsworth, Route 9, This Side Up, Woof (iffy), Lily (on one of her good days), or Jack (only if you’re desperate) …….. but NOT Chesney!!!!!!
Yet another rotten attempt by Chesney to sabotage Annie’s business. Thankfully, people don’t seem to be taking the little stinker seriously. On another note, saw four robins, a wren, two juncos, and a deer while out walking today.

The eclipse was an almost total no show here. The light didn’t dim and only a nibble out of the sun. I spent that time in the grocery store.

Classic Chez! And with a French Canadian no doubt! We had a little less than 40%, no darkness, but it was still fun to watch.

Dumb cat. I can see it in BCN News, “Stoopid cat shoots his own foot, figuratively, to spite dog walker Annie!”

A TV station here showed that Disney classic, ‘The Cat From Outer Space’ today. I’d never seen it. Good fun!

What’s missing (aside from common decency) in Chesney’s life that he needs to continually denigrate Anne, who most certainly doesn’t deserve it!
