The Asp is busy in the kitchen. I guess that’s his role. At least we know that Annie got dinner, but the story of Annie’s parents is on hold for the moment.

Chucky, what happened to Dick today, he looks like a human squeezebox!

Ho hum. Hoping Sunday will be a jaw dropper of excitement.

Dessert? The flashback narrative went through the lunch hour. How come nobody was shown eating: subway sandwiches, salads or something?

They deserted the desserts……….

Dick Tracy face is… weird.

I think someone said it’s August for the actual 100th anniversary and wondered how the story could take that long.

Now we know.

I don’t mind a slower pace, especially if it allows more verisimilitude in the story development. But given the initial premise here I’m suspicious of whether that can happen.

A new artist always brings a new look to an old character and there is a period of reader adjustment. I think the new look will be good.

Bedraggled Bob’s looking mighty chipper today, obviously tickled pink to finally be important!

Maybe the little letter box with Tomorrow in it is alluding that tomorrow Annie will be giving us a rendition of "Tomorrow:?

In which someone makes Asp Ask A Scintillating Aside.

Looks like they had a little trouble coordinating the Sundays with the Dailies.

How about that butler: “…would you all like some dessert?” Properly said here in the south: “…would y’all like some dessert?”

Asp (and Punjab) already met Mr. Smith with the envelope in his garage and knows the story, and he’s hungry for dessert!

I had forgotten about Asp, and for second I was wondering why their butler was Prince Namor.

TOMORROW: Bob asks for more dessert

T+1: Bob needs a coffee before he can begin.

T+2: Bob clears his throat with a cough

T+3: Bob says: “It all started when…”

T+4: I put a fist through my laptop screen when Bob excuses himself to use the toilet before he really begins. End of story. For me.

The sun will come out tomorrow……

And as Bob Smith walks in front of a window, a sniper’s bullet takes him out! End of flashback.

1-ASP HO: Mr. Daddy-O has asked me to tell you that he has retired for the evening because Y’ALL have bored him nearly to death and would you please “just get the hell out”.

2-ANNIE: Bored? OH! Anybody up for a board game? BOB SMITH, ESQ: Only if we play Risk That takes hours to finish which will easily equate to a month of strips!

DT: DAM IT! DADDY-O BROKE THE 4TH WALL WITH THAT “SANDY COMMENT” YESTERDAY. THIS AIN’T NO “DEADPOOL” COMIC!!! Those are ENTERTAINING!!!

Hopefully they’ll all choke to death on some coconut cream pie and this albatross will be laid to rest
