Why so we have measles back?

Well, a certain quack Florida Surgeon General does not believe in vaccines and relaxing the requirements for school age children = measles.

Michigan has now, due to vaccine conspiracy nuts spreading lies, had the first case of childhood measles in five years.

Michigan has also had the lowest vaccination rate for kids in more than a decade. Again, send thanks to Payne.

I have searched hard, and the only think Whitmer has said is “get your kids vaccinated” on a facebook post. This is evidently the source for this cartoon.

Wait until unvaccinated children die. Then the Biden Administration will be blamed for not controlling the outbreak.

Why can’t people who do not vaccinated their children that catch measles be sued by those whose children cannot be vaccinate?

Wow, Henry, you’ve reached a new low here. Guess it’s OK to sacrifice children and the immunocompromised while your “Whitmer Derangement Syndrome” achieves new peaks.

Do you know why measles are back? Because of the word over the sword. You ant-vaxxers are the reason.

Here he is attacking Whitmer over covid again.

Republicans are one note mentally ill insanity.

Anti vax right wingers spread disease like measles and should be avoided.

Republicans are cheer leaders for deadly viruses.

Unsmart republicans still can’t put 2 and 2 together and figure out traitor Trump killed off the red wave with his covid policies and red states are still hot spots for the deadly disease.

Yes, it’s back. Because of clownish parents who won’t vaccinate their kids. Gee, I wonder where they got THAT idea?

Take measles seriously. This isn’t covid. I know you’re still fussing about being asked to put on a mask, but we know measles; it’s been around since antiquity, and it used to kill huge numbers of people. (It’s probably what cleared out North America of most of the native population.) It’s insanely infectious – genuinely airborne (like, you can catch it from someone who was in the room ten minutes before you), and infectious for at least a day before any symptoms appear. Without treatment, about a third of those infected will die of dehydration because of the severe diarrhea it causes; the treatment for that is IV fluids. It leaves you highly vulnerable to other infections afterwards, and can even erase your immunities to other things, because it blows out your immune system for several months even in mild cases that don’t require hospitalization.

But that’s not the most terrifying thing. It’s brutal if you catch it as an adult, but it’s worst if you catch it as an infant or toddler. You know how chickenpox can come back as shingles? Measles can do a similar trick, only its far worse. If you get it as an infant, you have a much higher chance of getting measles encephalitis, where you get brain inflammation, and if you get that, then you have a 5% chance of later developing subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE) later in life, usually within ten years of the acute measles infection. SSPE is a progressive disease that slowly robs the child of more and more motor function until eventually they lose the ability to breathe. There is no treatment that will even slow it, much less reverse it. Once the symptoms are identified, it’s a death sentence.

Get your children vaccinated. If you are not vaccinated against measles yourself, get yourself vaccinated; this is an extremely contagious disease, so the only way to control it is to deny it hosts. And measles cannot live in any species but us. We can destroy it this way.

Are you ready for your kid to die of measles? (Yes, kids do die of it.) Or are you ready for the fetus of a pregnant woman to be born deaf? (Yes, that was a common cause of deafness in children.) Where is your reverence for the sanctity of all human life from zygote on?

I know it’s not very charitable of me, but I REALLY hope the old AnalPaynal catches something horrible that he could have been vaccinated against.

Isn’t it dangerous for a pregnant woman to be exposed to measles? So much for being “pro-life”, Henry!
