Oh to be a fly on the wall in the Secret Service POTUS detail coffee room when someone asks “so who was worse, Joe or Don?” and “what’s your best Don or Melania story?”.
My money is that 45 was NOT loved by most of the detail, other than the few who were part of the cult, probably handpicked for their “loyalty”. He’s got a nasty reputation for how he “handles” staff.
CBS NEWS: Austin underwent a “minimally invasive procedure” on Dec. 22…While at home on Jan. 1, Austin began experiencing “nausea with severe abdominal, hip, and leg pain” and was readmitted to Walter Reed…The Pentagon did not tell the White House, lawmakers or Austin’s second in command about his Jan. 1 hospitalization for several days…“It’s a little crazy that we effectively lost track of arguably the second most important person in the government, which is the secretary of defense,” Republican Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio said Tuesday…(ironically, we lost track of the man who lost track of a Chinese spy balloon until it crossed the entire country)
There he is, leader of the free world. Behold! A hack career politician —plagiarist and demagogue — up to his surgically improved eyes in bribery and extortion… dragged along and drugged up so that the party of race-dividers can stay in power.
hey mikie… i am sure if yu had cancer you would want it announced to the world before you were ready to announce it, or comprehend what was happening to you … or tell your loved ones…or while you were still in pain and suffering from the disease and surgery… you would want EVERYBODY to know… right?.. even though you weren’t ready to share…. right? … as usual you are the perfect hip … o …crit …..
Mr. Lester, I don’t understand these leftist who cry about every little observation or criticism and go into fits about the injustice and meanness of the right. If I was put into a position in government to which l was unqualified for, I’d be ill too. Austin must be eaten up with guilt and shame for his job performance. That will in time, bring you down.
Trump was rushed via caravan to Walter Reed in 2017. It has the best medical facilities on earth. The White House has the 2nd best. Why? No one knows. The media dropped the story the day it happened. Trump later said in 2020 that it was “FAKE NEWS!!” that he’d a series of microstrokes. So, that’s what happened. But, eh, obviously senile dude should be POTUS. Let’s all drop glasses of water on magnets because elevators!
But, in P00135809’s case, the Secret Service need not bother to keep his condition a secret since the patient itself is advertising and proudly showing his mental incapacity!
“Carl Hulse of The New York Times makes a very important point as the Congress lurches toward yet another budget hooley this week. Through a mixture of boneheaded politics, acts of God, better job offers, and the walking catastrophe that was Rep. George Santos, the Republican majority in the House of Representatives is down to very close to nothing.
Quoting Mr. Husle: ‘This week, with lawmakers absent for medical reasons and the recent not-so-voluntary departures of the ousted former speaker Kevin McCarthy and the expelled Mr. Santos, the best G.O.P. attendance that Speaker Mike Johnson can muster as he tries to avoid a government shutdown is the bare-minimum 218 votes. That is before factoring in the impact of rough winter weather across the nation. Another Republican, Representative Bill Johnson of Ohio, is resigning as of Sunday to take a job as a university president, lowering the number to 217 if Representative Harold Rogers of Kentucky, the 86-year-old dean of the House, is unable to quickly return from recuperating from a car accident. Representative Steve Scalise of Louisiana, the No. 2 Republican, is out until at least next month while undergoing cancer treatment.’
“This puts Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries securely in the catbird seat, and it completely gives the Senate Republicans the whip hand over their bat-guano colleagues at the other end of the Capitol. And it leaves Speaker Mike Johnson on an atoll with the sea rising around him.”
It’s way past time to teach the tail of the dog (the Freedom Caucus) that they are NOT the be-all and end-all of government. One has to wonder if there are any Moderate Republicans left with enough sense, morals, and courage to simply get up and in a bloc walk out of the House chambers or committees. That would leave the hard-liners with being a minority. The Moderates could refuse to return until the remaining Republicans agree to eject such holes-in-the-wall as Margery Taylor Green, Loren Boebert, and others from the nonsensical Hard Right who refuse to use any form of bipartisan negotiations in order to get (and be satisfied with) only part of what they want.
That hard slap in the face with a 2 X 4 might wake up enough Republican House legislators to get them derailed off of doing what Trump and the RNC demand, and into doing what they were elected (hired) to do – govern.

Joe looked pretty animated and engaged at his speech last Friday.
Meanwhile, trump is sounding increasingly divorced from reality.

Such a clear, singular, new event. It isn’t as if tfg had some medical thing that was downplayed and attempted to be covered up.
Or Reagan
Or Eisenhower
Or T Roosevelt
Or McKinley
Or Cleveland
No…this has never happened before.
