In Colorado they did a story on a home with geothermal cooling/heating. Its 54°F in the ground there and he uses it for the house in summer and under his driveway in winter. Aside from never shoveling the only issue is the stray cats are reluctant to move when he pulls in or out : )
I’m with Eno on this one! :D The only shoveling I typically do is just enough to get the car out. Then again, we don’t get large amounts of snow much in this area.

The problem with solar-powered snow removers is they leave a lot of water behind when they shut off in the evening. And snow is better than ice.
