Ruby Freeman and her daughter Shae Moss filed a defamation suit against Rudy Giuliani asking for a combined total of 48 million dollars.

After a default judgment was entered for the defamation when Rudy refused to provide documents required in the discovery phase (although Giuliani did file a court statement admitting that he had made false, harmful statements about them), and the trial became only about how much in damages to award, Giuliani’s lawyer whined to the jury that such an amount ($48 million) would completely destroy Rudy.

The jury was so moved by their sympathy for Rudy and the viciousness of how he destroyed these women’s lives, that they took the amount requested ($48 million) and added another ONE HUNDRED MILLION dollars on top of it.

Despite his court filing admitting he had lied in harmful ways about the women, Rudy continued to defame the women, repeating his lies outside of the courtroom, and whining that he never got a chance to present the evidence that would have proved those claims.

No, Rudy had numerous chances to provide his “evidence” but he repeatedly refused to do so and so the default judgment was entered.
