    From The Hill:

“… GOP presidential candidate Chris Christie is weighing in on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “endorsement” of former President Trump in his latest slew of attacks against the former president.

“It’s good to see Vladimir Putin has made his endorsement official — and no surprise, he’s endorsed another autocrat,” Christie told The New York Times.

Putin took aim at the criminal cases against Trump during a speech at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Russia, on Tuesday, saying that they represent “the rottenness of the American political system.”

Putin argued that “everything that is happening with Trump is the persecution of a political rival for political reasons.”

The Trump and Putin relationship has long been under scrutiny.

Trump has boasted about his relationship with Putin, both during his time in the White House and since leaving. He has repeatedly claimed that he could end the war in Ukraine in 24 hours and has called Putin a “genius”.

Christie, the former governor of New Jersey, is one of Trump’s most outspoken critics in the 2024 GOP primary field. He also took to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to respond to Putin’s comments about Trump’s legal woes.

“Meet Vladimir Putin. Brutal, mass-murdering, KGB hitman who thinks our system is ‘rotten.’ Trump thinks Putin is a ‘genius’ — he clearly needs new role models,” Christie wrote on X. “Get it straight. Trump is under indictment because of his conduct. He played with fire and is getting burned. And now his best buddy is coming to his defense. If you are on the same side as Putin, you might want to rethink your position…” …"

The Great Orange Blob was looking extra puffy in the face, the other day.

Looked like he was on the verge of a Grab the Shirt and do a Face Plant in the Dirt scene.

I must be wicked, I do love that image.

They don’t love him. They’re much sharper than Traitor45, they know he’s simply useful as an idiot they can easily manipulate to harm the U.S. They’ll drop him when his usefulness is done.

Halliburton equipment worth $7.1m exported to Russia in past year, customs records show

Exclusive: US oil multinationals face questions over trade with Russia amid pressure to cease operations

US oil and gas multinationals are facing fresh questions over their trade with Russia after customs records revealed that more than $7.1m (£5.7m) worth of equipment manufactured by Halliburton has been exported into the country since it announced the end of its Russian operations.

Last September Halliburton, one of the world’s largest providers of products and services for oil and gas exploration, sold its Russian office to local management amid pressure on all US companies to cease their trade after the invasion of Ukraine.

Russian customs records seen by the Guardian show that despite this move to sell up on 8 September, Halliburton subsidiaries exported equipment of a value of $5,729,600 to its former operation in Russia in the six weeks that followed the sale.

I don’t care about my people as many of them are starving to death as the result of my policies and my focus on military spending. Well, I have lots of grain but need weapons as my country’s stock is being depleted as the result of my failed campaign to overrun one of my neighbors. Buddies?

Former President Donald Trump said that he received counsel from numerous people shortly after the 2020 election but that it was his decision to push the false claim he won the presidency and try to overturn the results.

“It was my decision, but I listened to some people,” Trump told NBC’s “Meet the Press” in an interview that aired Sunday.

Trump has been indicted over his efforts to subvert the 2020 election results. A central premise of special counsel Jack Smith’s case, according to his indictment of the former president, is that Trump knew the election claims he was making were false after being told by close aides that he had lost but disseminated them anyway to make them appear legitimate – all in service of an alleged criminal conspiracy.

“I was listening to different people, and when I added it all up, the election was rigged,” Trump told Kristen Welker in the interview, again pushing the false claim as he seeks the 2024 Republican nomination for president.

“You know who I listen to? Myself. I saw what happened,” Trump said.
