We are in an era of some of the dirtiest politics in our history. It is so bad that there is often no way to know what is truth. There is no doubt in my mind the pandemic affected the quality of the 2020 election adversely. My state’s new laws and 2022 results tend to prove that. If 2024 verifies that remains to be seen. It is clear to me that the government is a hot mess and a taxpayer ripoff no matter who wins. Gridlock is a reluctant taxpayers best friend.
His defense is he didn’t think or know he lost despite every newspaper, magazine, and news outlet in America stating that fact. You can’t make this up.
It was always a money scam from D rump. He knew he lost but his ego wouldn’t let him acknowledge it. Send me, your favorite billionaire, $$$ to Stop the Steal……….A con job from the beginning.
This country, no country with the wealth that we have, should be set up so that you can’t have a reasonably decent living style by working an eight hour day. Trump isn’t even the disease, he’s just a symptom. The disease is the capitalist system that produces a permanent underclass while assuring them that they are in a country that gives everyone equal opportunity. The media lets us know on a regular basis that there are people who were born in poverty but overcame the odds and are rich. That requires either talent, superior intelligence, or luck, frequently a combination of the three. And, the average person doesn’t have that advantage, or the advantage of being born on third base. So, the people who are still giving it their all and keep striking out have the general idea that the game is rigged against them, and no clear idea as to exactly why or how that happened. They get mad about it, don’t know who to blame, and Trump told them that it wasn’t their fault (probably the only true thing he ever said) and he cared and would fix it ( probably the biggest lie).
Da*n! Makes one wonder why these magas/trumpers were able to so quickly and completely roll over onto their backs w/o one attempt, lasting more than a couple hours, to make the former failed president pay the price. If conservatives had chosen to try the impeachment & convict him, our country could possibly have avoided many Covid deaths, all his crimes – both small and yuge, the loss of respect and trust by fellow democratic countries, and his attempt to destroy our democratic republic.
Ironically, if Traitor Trump had contented himself with only being a career criminal (like his father, Fred), he wouldn’t be facing these indictments (with more on the way). He would have had to pay his fines for his fake charity and his fraudulent “university”, of course, but he very likely would have gotten away with the rest of his six decades worth of felonies, including but not limited to his tax fraud, wire fraud, and rapes. Consider: if he had not run for president, he would not have paid the hush money to Stormy Daniels. (Traitor Trump has no shame, of course.) He would not have ever been in a position to steal top secret classified documents to sell to our enemies. His handlers and henchmen would not have tried to set up fake electors. (Traitor Trump has always needed handlers, what with being an imbecile, and henchmen, what with being a crook.) Lastly, he would never have been in a position to incite a mob of his fellow traitors into storming the Capitol in an attempt to overthrow our democracy.
can we please get him off the front cover of everything I open. That just plays to him. I want real news – like impact of lowering of National Credit rating, War in Ukraine, weather change impacts – something that might actually matter in 10 years.
Trump ‘worked behind the scenes’ to change GOP primary rules to help him coast to victory
Former President Donald Trump’s strategists have pushed a series of rules in the Republican primary process that makes it disproportionately easy for him to win delegates in the primary contest, reported POLITICO on Friday.According to Rachel Bade, loyalists to Trump have “worked behind the scenes” and have been “quietly reaching out to allies” in states to both alter rules in ways that make it easier for Trump, or stop rule changes that would hurt him.

I’m concerned about the wave of retribution for everyone who has mocked, and ridiculed him, if he makes it back to the WH!!! Hello Berlin 1935!!!

He had the right to say what he wanted. He didn’t have the right to try to subvert the laws of the U.S. to remain in power. Karma. Justice.

Any 2 things can be compared. Any 2! The classic example is apples and oranges. Let’s compare them, shall we?
Similarities: both fruits, generally round, grow on trees, sold in grocery stores, good for you.
Differences: red vs. orange, acetic acid vs. citric acid, skins edible vs. inedible, relative importance in Washington vs. Florida.
See? Any 2 things!
Let us continue. Witch hunts vs. prosecution of Donald J. Trump.
Similarities: both involve nefarious activities, legal accusations, court proceedings.
Differences: witches don’t exist, criminals do; accused witches certainly didn’t do the things they were accused of, Trump certainly did!
