I somehow or other got onto a Republican mailing list, and I’m having a ball reading how they’re characterizing the rain of accountability coming down on “President Trump”. (Yes, that’s still the way they refer to him.) As a long-time science-fiction fan, I’m familiar with imaginary alternate realities, but here’s one playing out in real life.

From what I understand the stuff in his diaper probably is.

I don’t look forward to a trial. I think it has to happen, but I don’t look forward to it. This mess could have been avoided if only there had been enough principled Republicans in the Senate to remove him from office when they had the chance.
