Trump isn’t popular because of his policies. He’s popular because of who he is. To simplify, Trump is as much a brand as he is a person. The loyalty we see to Trump isn’t as much a loyalty to him, but the ideas he embodies. In other words, it’s crazy levels of brand loyalty.

Blah blah blah woke blah blah blah slavery is good blah blah blah disney is un-american blah blah blah six week abortion ban blah blah blah. Somehow, that message doesn’t resonate well with Americans.

Just when I thought politics had hit the low bar along comes someone that proves me wrong. I don’t know how he does it on a daily basis without any help. It’s all his own work.

Maybe DeSantis needs to lead an insurrection to resonate more with MAGAts.

DeSaptis is a half-trick pony. His act isn’t selling outside Florida, and hopefully the good people of that state are mobilizing for change.

Not just some vague Fascist ideas but real Nazi propaganda The campaign put out a video of marching troopers with DeSantis at the center of the Sonnenrad a Nazi symbol that flew over the headquarters of the SS.

They are not being subtle about what they want America to look like.

‘It’s outrageous’: Florida columnist skewers DeSantis for secret use of taxpayer cash on campaign

A minor crash in Tennessee has revealed Ron DeSantis’ use of taxpayer cash on his campaign – spending that would have been kept secret if the accident had happened in Florida because of laws that he passed, a columnist said Sunday.

An open records request about Tuesday’s collision filed to the police department in Chattanooga by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel quickly came back with details: DeSantis was traveling in an entourage of rented cars and accompanied by seven Florida cops.

DeSantis is finding out that fascism might work in Florida, but it does not work for the rest of the country. Too bad he couldn’t voluntarily enslave or indenture himself. He may have learned some highly valuable skills.
