Reminds me of the old joke about the newspapers in communist Russia. One was named Pravda (Truth) and the other was called Novosti (news), but there was no news in the truth and no truth in the news.
I usually disagree with Mike but he is spot on about how Trump will verbally attack anyone who irks him, both friend or foe. It is a pity Trump cannot be as bluntly critical of himself, because he is his own worst enemy. If he did he would stand down for 2024. America really needs someone other than Trump or Biden.
“These people are admitting they lied to you”: Trump’s own men undermine his “delusional” defense
“For those that still believe there was widespread voter fraud, these people are admitting they lied to you.” These are not the words of a Democratic politician or an MSNBC anchor but of a Republican.
Gabriel Sterling, the chief operating officer of the Georgia Secretary of State, has long been one of the few Republicans brave enough to defend democracy in the face of Donald Trump’s efforts to destroy it. Sterling was responding to reports that former New York City mayor-turned-Trump accomplice Rudy Giuliani has conceded that his accusations against two Georgia election workers, Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, were “false” and “defamatory.” The two women are suing Giuliani for a ridiculous conspiracy theory he and Trump spread, claiming a video showing the two women sharing candy was actually evidence they were somehow stealing votes for Biden.
One wonders if this new criminal defendant, DeOliveira, has flipped or what.
It seems like all the dominoes are beginning to topple.
Update 7:09pm — If one reads the legal document posted by Kyle Griffin, it sounds like a 4th Employee of Trump REFUSED to delete surveillance footage! Oh man, they are all so busted.
Update 9:06pm ET — So, DeOliveira is head of maintenance at Mar-A-Lago, and Alex Wagner on MSNBC just said that Trump offered to pay for DeOliveira’s lawyer. Consciousness of guilt?
Update 9:24pm ET — Count 32 is “Trump’s Disclosures of Classified Information”, stemming from that audio-recorded episode at Bedminster where TFG was waving around the Iran documents.
June 24th, De Oliveira texts the IT guy asking for how long video from the cameras is stored. The IT guy isn’t sure but says he thinks it is 45 days. Nauta confirms, by text, with De Oliveira that De Oliveira will be in Mar-a-Lago.
On June 27th, just five days after the subpoena, Nauta and De Oliveira meet with the IT guy. De Oliveira tells the IT guy that “the boss” wants the server containing the video records deleted. When the IT guy pushed back, saying he would need approval from his security supervisor, De Oliveira again stated that “the boss” wanted the server deleted, and asked, “what are we going to do.”
Secretive talks ensued between Trump, Nauta and De Oliveira. In the end the server was not deleted and the FBI got the tapes, but the conspirators tried, and that’s what matters.
Accordingly Trump, Nauta and De Oliveira are now charged with two counts under 18 U.S.C. § 1512 for corruptly attempting to persuade another person to destroy records sought in the investigation.
Put simply Trump engaged in a conspiracy with two of his employees to destroy evidence after that evidence was demanded by a grand jury. Another log on the corruption bonfire.
Former President Donald Trump’s supporters have developed a worldview that is essentially the polar opposite of reality, argued political scientist Brian Klaas in a new Substack article examining the results of a new survey. These results, argued Klaas, give insight into a “warped bizarro world reality” that supporters of the former president has created for himself, even as he is facing criminal prosecution on several fronts.
While some 90 percent of experts in the survey agreed Trump committed a federal crime in the documents case, just 10 percent of Republicans did. Similar numbers were true in reverse for whether President Biden committed a crime — and Republicans were most likely to agree that things Trump has been accused of, like hush money and involvement in January 6, aren’t crimes at all.
“Astonishingly, only 52% of Republican voters surveyed indicated that they believed that Trump ever brought classified documents to Mar-a-Lago, even though Trump himself admits doing so. There have even been countless widely publicized photos of those documents in various places around his private club,” wrote Klaas. Also, “Do you believe that ‘Trump showed documents’ to others? We have a publicly available audio recording of him doing exactly that, but only 34% of Republicans believe it’s true.”
Gullible right wingers live in a lying fantasy world.
In response to Flashaaway, the answer is that there is some sort of “hole” in their brains where facts and logic leak out. There is a name for it, I just don’t know what the name is. Any psychiatrists or psychologists reading this?
Does Giuliani fantasize about saving his reputation even now? Even trump wouldn’t announce a new marriage while the current wife is dying. Let’s stipulate that ’America’s Mayor’ insisted that NYC emergency services HQ be located in the Twin Towers, which had been a target before. Just think, with him and Boy Bush we thought we had seen what horror looked like.
And this is how you know the Republican Party is a cult. They’re now admitting that everything they said about the election was a blatant lie. They lied to you and picked your pockets to fund it, and you’re still going to vote for them and believe the Big Lie. Stop voting for people that hate your guts and think you’re gullible rubes to have every last cent plucked from you via lying fundraising emails.
For most if not all of his life truth/reality has been an at best irrelevant concept. For much of it, and most especially the last few years, it is a threat and therefor an enemy which must be discredited or erased.
Traitor Trump is totally out of touch with reality.
Former president Donald Trump called for Special Counsel Jack Smith, his “Thug Prosecutors,” and Attorney General Merrick Garland to be jailed early Friday afternoon.
“They ought to throw Deranged Jack Smith and his Thug Prosecutors in jail, with Meritless Garland and Trump Hating Lisa Monaco. They have totally Weaponized the Department of Injustice,” declared Trump on Truth Social before citing cases in which Democratic politicians were not prosecuted.
Egotistical malignant narcissist Trump doesn’t believe that USA law should stand up against a lawless dictator like himself.
The whole country should be ashamed of how it treats Trump, snerk!

Remember when traitor Trump screamed and screamed about Hillary’s server and said she should be in jail?
Now they have hypocrite Trump on tape telling his henchman to destroy his server with the evidence of him hiding boxes of top secrets from the FBI.

Remember, Rudy is on tape as saying “Truth isn’t truth!”
Actually, he said “Truth ithn’t truth.” But it translates to the same thing.
