What does that mean nowadays?

Maybe a swastika for the “O” would be more fitting, along with burning books.

Liberty:the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one’s way of life, behavior, or political views.“compulsory retirement would interfere with individual liberty”

Freedom:the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.“we do have some freedom of choice”

Misnomers seem to be an essential tool in the radical right’s active movement to overturn democracy in ’merica.

Whenever I hear right wing females proclaiming their love of country, I am reminded of Mrs. Eleanor Iselin in “The Manchurian Candidate”.

Liberty my shiny metal a$$. They are all about removing everyone else’s liberty and stuffing their agenda down everyone’s throat.

Yet another conservative group to take away more rights from women they claim to represent.

As usual, the magas/trumpers/qanoners/conservatives actual purpose is diametrically opposed to their title. I ran into their weirdness at school a couple decades ago. A mother called the English teacher demanding she remove a book from the class list – it wasn’t removed; she then called me demanding I pull all copies from the library – none were pulled – she admitted she’d never read it… just took the third hand view of her church’s secretary; then she called the Principal demanding he instruct the teacher and librarian to remove the title – he didn’t. She called again to crab about the am’t of homework her daughter was assigned… she couldn’t go to church services because of so much. Then she called the phy-ed teacher and told him her daughter would not be in his class… exercising could cause her to be st*rile. Then she called the Campus Minister and chided him because his monthly services were not like the ones in Rome and she knew because she had attended a couple while visiting the city. (He told her of course they wouldn’t be; we weren’t in Rome.) We all laughed and laughed when discussing this conservative parent. The principal said he’d ask the student to leave but she was the only student who talked to him. When I told my sister, she told me I should report her to Child Services. Sounds like an SNL skit but true.

Moms for “liberty” – meaning for forcing THEIR way of life on everyone else. Hardly for real liberty.

You can always be sure that when an organization uses the words: Liberty, Freedom, Patriot, Integrity, Prosperity etc.. in their name, their main agenda is the opposite of just that

And do not forget Mamas for DeathSatanist. We know that the GQP Chicken Cult has a lot of folks you could call a dumb mother but as I understand it in that sense mother means the word is only part of a 1/2 word and is of course neither gender nor sexual identity specific

Not much, since ignorant right-wingers have been closing down “liberrys”.

The Sup’t of schools in Oklahoma now says they need to teach about the Tulsa Race Massacre, but only in a way that doesn’t make white kids “feel bad.” As though teaching about history would ever make anyone think they were somehow responsible for things that happened in the past. And it’s rich for the right to talk about “saying that one race is superior to another” when that’s what white supremacists have been saying all along.

BTW, if taught correctly, children feel not guilt or shame, but outrage at what was done.
