Meanwhile, Donald Trump claims that mutants are behind his indictments, and Ted Cruz links Pat Benatar to Satanism. That passes for normal in Varvelville.

Fetterman had a stroke. In the verbal area of his brain. Varvel is piling on, just as I’d expect a Rethug to do. Empathy is just a fairy tale to them (and you KNOW what they feel about “fairies”!

As for Biden, well, compare any 10 minutes of his speech(es) with any 10 minutes of the orange mistake. See which one of them makes any kind of sense at all.

Bottom line: Varvel’s spewing mean-spirited BS. Which is not a surprise.

Just in case anyone misses it, though I think everyone knows this sign, (I think I knew it before I learned sign language) the interpreter is signing “Crazy!”

Meanwhile from Holy Family of MAGA (things to HCR’s research):

Trump had his own reaction to the Biden charges, calling them “a massive INTERFERENCE COVERUP & FULL SCALE ELECTION ‘SCAM’ THE LIKES OF WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN IN OUR COUNTRY BEFORE. A ‘TRAFFIC TICKET,’ & JOE IS ALL CLEANED UP & READY TO GO INTO THE 2024 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION – AND THIS AS CROOKED DOJ, STATE, & CITY PROSECUTORS, MARXISTS & COMMUNISTS ALL, HIT ME FROM ALL SIDES & ANGELS WITH BULL….! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!” [sic]

Eric Lipton of the New York Times reported today on the Trump family’s ties to a multibillion-dollar project in Oman. The resort project is backed by the Omani government, which has put up the land for the project and is investing up to a billion dollars to upgrade the infrastructure near the project and to fund the project’s initial phase. It will also take a cut of the profits. A Saudi real estate firm closely allied with the Saudi government brought Trump into the deal. The Trump family will not put any money into the project, but the Omani government has paid the Trump Organization at least $5 million for the use of his name and will pay the Trump Organization to manage a hotel, golf course, and golf club for the next 30 years.

“There is a big wealth concentration in the world, which means that those people will more and more demand more exclusive products and more exclusive projects,” the chief executive of the London-based DarGlobal subsidiary of the Saudi real estate firm said earlier this year. The project is being constructed by migrants paid as little as $340 a month for ten hours a day of grueling work in heat above 100°F, or 38°C.

Fetterman had a stroke that made him physically unable to perform the duties of a senator. For him to be elected just to fill another seat with a Democrat, to use him, in putting him on display for all the world to see how seriously damaged he is, is senior abuse. Those who kept him on the ballot, and voters who abetted them are shameful.

I’d read that Biden’s odd comment was just a response to a shout from the crowd and that it merely was an way of saying you got that right, man or let’s hope so, man . Old folks have a lot of strange sayings so, while it might be spin, I can believe it. But if you prefer to believe that they’re peeing on your leg and trying to tell you it’s raining , that’s fine.

Meanwhile, the GQP messaging problem is the inability to ditch that jabbering orange criminal enterprise that is the front runner for their party’s nomination.

‘Moo shu for brains’: George Conway slams Trump for praising Communist China’s deadly purges

During the second half of former President Donald Trump’s interview with Bret Baier, released on Tuesday, the former president appeared to praise China’s law and order during the beginning of the Communist era.“China was hugely, 150 years ago, China was taken over by much lesser countries because they were all drugged out on the opium,” said Trump.

Lauren Boebert says she’s being ‘directed’ by ‘God’ to impeach Biden

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) said she was moved by the “spirit of God” to draft impeachment articles against President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Right Wing Watch first reported Boebert’s Tuesday interview on the Victory Channel’s Flashpoint program. The interview came just hours after Boebert introduced her impeachment effort.

Its funny how lying hateful right wing gun loving anti gay insurrectionists think the Devil’s voice sounds just like god.

George W. Bush spoke so many malapropisms that page-per-day calendars featured a different quote, for years without repeats. And he was elected at least once. And has Mr. Varvel ever heard Kevin McCarthy at any time that his tongue is in motion?

Even authors and newspeople can be clumsy with words, and examples are fairly abundant.

American politics features crooks, whiners, babies, and people who couldn’t put a sentence together if their lives depended on it. Just like your workplace, just like the clubs you join or the houses of worship you attend.

I choose to vote based on stated positions and known history. If that person can speak well, so much the better. But history is rife with smooth talkers who left horror in their wakes; anyone who only considers one aspect of a person is shallow and likely to come up with an incorrect assessment.

And remember there is a story in the bible about a guy named Moses, who managed to lead the Israelites out of bondage in Egypt. The story goes on to say that he was involved in trying to get a bargain out of the Pharoah. It also tells us that Moses was not a good speaker, and actually had his brother Aaron do his speaking for him.

Now start making fun of Moses. See where it gets you.

The Democrats DO have a messaging problem. Why do they let the corrosive, misleading spews of the reactionaries go without comment?
