If the Repukes have their way, subsidized housing will go the way of the dinosaur—and there would be a lot more homeless, too!!

And just to throw some trivia in here, the Northwest address would land you in front of the Smithsonian Museum of American History.

Steam grates are important landmarks to the homeless.

Rents too high for poor people will present more unrented and unrentable housing, turning habitable properties into “teardowns.”

Those of us somehow managed to have a house, have a hard time maintaining it, due to declining health and or the high price of repairs….but never-the-less have our property taxes consistently increase, to make up for the shortfalls caused by income tax cuts, for the people who complain about the homeless, and how “those people”should have planned better, or worked harder…..

Remember, Missy… Life is all about dealing with challenges.

First time I encountered homeless it was in DC in the early 70’s (1970 actually) and there were folks sleeping on the grates.
