I worked a job in Rockford, Illinois; and one time I got to go to Chicago as part of my job.

In one of my graduate classes,we were told that if we were ever going to a conference in Las Vegas, we should put “Clark County, NV,” as the distination when applying for funding.

Because chief wants to open a new market for tea cozies, and that takes an experienced salesman. I’m being nice, give me a break

Yeah, the sales-guys all got to go fancy resort locations for meetings. The worker-bees get stung.

But you get donuts with your conference!

Have some compassion, Brutus. Just think of all the ugly stares the Chief has to endure when they allow steerage class to board.

Well if you are the CEO of a company that makes tea cozies, Hawaii is where you want to be because tea cozies sell big in Hawaii. Mango Maui Black Tea or Pineapple Waikiki Black Tea, delicious.

Because he’s the chief, and you’re not.

It’s the “Gold ‘n’ Rule.”

Owner perks. He’s the one paying for it.

That is because their boss is a Republican

cause the boss likes money to be spent on him then his employees that also drive him crazy… not naming anyone pacific though. :}

You have a “conference room”? We used to meet in the ersatz Cafeteria, aka Printer Room.

Been to Hawaii several times. Never saw the reason why people loved vacationing there so much. Most people never left their hotel areas. Expensive as all heck. Once you’ve seen the sights – why go back. Mine was work reasons – military. Nice to go first couple times but glad I was not paying for it.

Interesting. This is the first I’ve heard that the Chief wasn’t a company owner, just a branch manager. I’m sure for Brutus and the rest of staff it doesn’t matter, as the Chief is the chief. Still, that while he may be pulling Brutus’ strings, Chief has someone pulling his.

Such is life.

The T.C.M.C. (Tea Cozy Manufacturer Conference ) is always held in Hawaii. Due to its central location for the world wide tea cozy manufacturers.

It’s called a boondoggle. In the age of Teams and Zoom, no meeting really HAS to be in person.

I’ve been to Maui it’s paradise there

Because he’s the CHIEF, Brutus! He can go practically anywhere he wants or wherever there’s a conference being held!

Think positive Brutus, it’ll be like a minnie vacation with the boss gone.

I had a business conference on the base at Pearl Harbor. Never had a chance to get out, run around, enjoy myself or see the sights.

He knows from personal experience, if he sends you to Hawaii for a conference, you’ll never get anything done.

Brutus you have to stop being such a malcontent. If you went to Maui you would just get sunburned.

It’s good to be the Chief!

Simple answer. He’s the Boss and you are not. AND as he pays your salary AND also owns the company. He can go where he pleases. The real upside is that he will be out of the office for a long time and you all can relax and get a vacation from him also….

Remember the two rules of employment: #1) The boss is always right. #2) In case the boss is wrong, see rule #1.

Maybe Brutus could go with him as his private secretary?? If he plays his cards right.
