But they shouldn’t have “broken” into the state house. /s

Did any of them poop in the hall?

The GOP’s agenda laid bare. Aren’t there any federal laws about openly racist behaviour and penalties. Civilised countries have them.

I was horrified/amused by the GOP’s claim that they weren’t being ejected for being uppity but for being disruptive because they brought and (gasp) used megaphones to make their voices heard. And besides, they were being a DANGER to the legislators because … well, I’m not sure, but that’s what they SAID and surely they wouldn’t lie.

Three Tennessee legislators expressed the same noble support for children over battlefield mass casualty weapons in exactly the same manner in exactly the same protest, standing together in the well of the Capitol as they did it, but only those of African descent were successfully expelled in an act of overt, blatant racism.

Tennessee, a state that once committed treason in rebellion against the United States to support their “right” to own other human beings, is where the Ku Klux Klan was founded, where Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated and the state that gave us genocidal Andrew Jackson, the owner of enslaved African Americans and the mass murderer who concocted the Trail of Tears genocide against Indigenous Americans, today lived down to the worst of their reputation as a gerrymandered legislature voted to overthrow democracy. SHAME!

Fellow Tennessean Davy Crockett confronted and opposed his military commander Andrew Jackson when he issued an order to genocidally murder indigenous people, and later when Andrew Jackson was president and Davy Crockett was a congressman, opposed and spoke out against the genocidal “Trail of Tears” ordered by Jackson.

The vote in the Senate to pass the legislation to implement Andrew Jackson’s genocidal Trail of Tears against indigenous Americans was a lopsided vote of 28 to 19.

But in the House of Representatives, after Davy Crockett’s forceful speech in defense of human rights for the First Americans, the enabling legislation barely passed by only four votes, 101 to 97.

What is one supposed to do when those people come in with megaphones and interrupt your NRA backed KKK meeting.

Tennessee. If they weren’t killing it already, democracy would probably succumb from the stink.

As usual, got it wrong. The one who used the “uppity” reference was a black rep who was later expelled. Just another false claim not related to anything said by a GOP member.

The 2 black legislators get expelled while the white one doesn’t. A Tennessee legislator says there’s nothing to be done about gun violence. The list goes on.

There’s lots that can be done to end military weaponry being available to the public. Outlaw military weaponry. Period.

Tennessee republican politicians again proving to the world how the antebellum whites are still the stupidest group on the playground; try to do the same thing over and over again looking for different results.

How many months, weeks or days will pass before some other legislature with a super majority tries to use the same technique? They’re coming for your vote, use it or lose it!

Tennessee GQP legislature must of borrowed Mr. Peabody and Sherman’s WABAC machine to return to the 60’s.

The GOP still doesn’t quite understand the optics. The “rules are rules” crowd" consistently misses the bigger point. It seems like censoring might have been done, especially considering these men will likely be put right back into their positions. There would have been protest, but would it have been as strong? Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should do that thing.

Combine that with other out of step/touch policies then you can sit and wonder why you fail to attract young people who reject your party’s “ideas”. It truly is mind-boggling.

Two guys violated the rules and got expelled, as per their house rules of misconduct. How is that racist as this toon indicates?

Sure thing pal. Even white supremacists should see the truth of it.

Say the California state legislature expelled two out of three members who broke the rules.

The two who were booted just happened to be ‘white’, while the one who wasn’t just happened to be ‘black’.

Optics matter like crazy, cuz that’s the way the world is. Duh.

Tennessee had another “mostly peaceful” insurrection. The State Police should have shot them dead like they did on Jan 6th.
