A majority of Floridians are there simply as a comfortable place to while away the time until they die – they don’t ACTUALLY participate in Society, as such.

And, yes, I have been there – I’ve stayed in Orlando to visit the parks, I’ve spent weeks in Melbourne, attending company schools, and I’ve passed through Miami on going to and from cruises. so, it’s not like I’ve never experienced the “joy” of Florida…
