Lisa got this wrong, the incompetence of this administration is how we got here. You Dims can try to blame everyone else but if you look in the mirror, you are the weaklings.
Weakness invites aggression. Dear God, let us make it through the next 2 years, and then get someone with a backbone in the W.H., not the current clown.
Woke to GOP means anything they disagree with, or anything they want to distract from real problems with. In this case, pretend that deregulation is not what caused the bank failure.
No matter how you look at it America’s deep, divisive, childish partisanship is self-destructive. With the bonds of trust, respect, communication, deliberation and collaboration broken we are easy prey for our enemies … as our once noble binary political system is now working against the nations needs.
Putin and Xi would be foolish to not take advantage of the deep division/partisanship as two irrational obstructive political factions null each other’s plans and make the US weak and dysfunctional.

ALL economies are flawed. And while I understand that cartoonists exagerate to make a point, this one is pretty extreme. Economically, Russia is a one-trick pony dependent on the ups and downs of the oil market. It is also in thrall to a small man with a limited vision of what economics is (as long as he and his cronies get theirs, all is well). And, of course, they are currently bogged down in Ukraine, which will have an untold impact on their economy for years to come.
China (so does Russia) has real demographic problems, is basically a giant jail and has an economic system that manipulates the yuan as needed. They also are largely dependent on the US as a market. While there are obvious flaws here, one of the US’ strengths comes from its innovations. Ironically, many on the right have seen the influx of people (both skilled and unskilled) to this country as a threat rather than as a net gain. Unfortunately, this trend has not completely changed much under Biden. We need a continued free flow of creative thinkers and doers because of OUR demographic problems. Will the rest of the world just drop the dollar as the currency of use and follow the lead of these two? Anything is possible, but be careful what you ask for.
Quest for profit has led to moving all the manufacturing capability and know-how to China. . This situation has been developing since Nixon. That’s nine administrations, with people vainly sounding the alarm all the way along. USA is in deep caca if Xi decides to take his ball and go home
She’s not wrong, but she’s got the proportions wrong. For on thing Russia is hardly a big bear and the kids in the “New World Order” box are hardly little kids.
