Aunty sounds similar to Queen Elizabeth III of Manticore. She held grudges until they died of old age, then had them stuffed and mounted.

Humans could physically nurse only two grudges at a time, until bottle-feeding became practical. Now a whole gang of them can be borne, nourished with the milk of human unkindness, and raised as adult hoods. (—

Then stop voting for them.

That’s called accountability. Let people get away with things without consequence and it becomes the norm for everyone.

Easy to over come without carrying grudge. Place distance between yourself and the source.

I have stopped carrying grudges and there is a great deal of distance between me and people I don’t like.

I’ve got a couple of grudges I’m still holding and those people have been dead for many many years. Maybe that’s small of me, but I can live with it. ;-)

It’s a grudge if you refuse to forgive someone for an offense that occurred a long time ago.

A grudge doesn’t always happen from repeated behavior. One act can cause a grudge. I would call repeated annoying behavior just that – annoying. Not grudge-worthy necessarily.
