Not sure if the dye will find him red faced, or green with envy. Maybe he will just sit down and pout because he’s feeling blue.

That says a lot about the way Gladys cooks.

Maybe you’re dyeing something SEXY and might want to sweeten it up………..Did I type that? I got some bad weed!

Why would you want to cook fabric dye?

now we know why he finds the diner’s food palatable

It’s time for an emergency tooth cleaning, eh, Brutus. Quick, before the dye has time to set.

Old stuff in bygones days was heated up. Don’t think so now. And who dyes clothes anymore?

Truly hilarious. This gives us an idea of how Brutus has (ahem) “adapted” to Agnes’ cooking. And the diner. If clothes dye only needs salt to be tasty Agnes and the diner have set a pretty low bar!

Perhaps a handful of Cinnamon to make the house smell nice?

Answer to Gladys’ question: to make it even more like kiddie cereal.

When I was in the WACs in the 60s – there were some girls in the unit- who ate dried starch. It was readily available in boxes – usually in clumps – I never tried it, but they ate it all the time. No idea of the taste.

Brutus, you should know better by now, Gladys’ cooking has always(mostly) been bad, why take a chance again, you’ll never learn will you…

Simple, a little sugar makes it easier to swallow.

Random Musings:

Guess she wasn’t planning to dye anything a very provocative color, or he would have been more cautious about trying it.

Good thing Gladys came upon him tasting it. If it had been Mother Gargle, she would have invited him to sit down at the table and have a bowl.

Years of watching sitcoms and reading comics and joke books has taught me not to taste anything, if I’m not sure of who was preparing it and why.
