Ohio voted twice for Trump and also R-money and McCain. They elected and re-elected a Republican governor (Mike DeWine). Republicans promise to roll back regulations, win elections and then roll back regulations as they promised. The Trump administration rolled back the safety rules on transporting hazardous materials.

So when the predictable environmental and health disaster inevitably occurs, they blame … Biden!

Deregulate and then blame the next administration (if run by a Democrat) when the expected disasters happen.

    Very apropos, Mr. Rogers.

The red voting Buckeyes need to breathe deeply. Too bad that they will never understand that what goes around comes around.

Of course, they can hang onto the belief that those enriched by deregulation will trickle down into their little upturned beaks. Taste that freedom?

You’ll notice there are NO Republican/Trump comments about anything that should be done.

    NONE!

It is just another issue that they will attempt to weaponize and LIE about. They will try to blame Biden. If you ask what Biden should have done or what he should do, you will at best get some vague statement about how he should ‘change his policies’.

Change his policies how? From what to what? “Well, what about Hunter’s laptop?”

Remember that the Democrats are scurrying along in Republican coattails. Trump removed a regulation re braking that Obama had implemented. (at least Democrats do something sometimes). Did Biden reinstate the regulation? Not as far as I can tell. And even appointing Buttegieg at all was complete capitulation to the railroads.

When was the last time you heard a Democrat calling for re-regulation? If they were serious, the first order of business would be undoing what Republicans do. Allowing Republican actions to stand amounts to collusion IMO.

These little incidents really confuse the republicans don’t they. They don’t want safety regulations… but when a boo-boo hits they blame the lack of regulations.

In their gleeful slash-and-burn attempts to erase everything Obama, The Republican Nazi Party knew there would be resulting christian conservative casualties they felt would be acceptable. I wonder how the strength of white nationalism of those conservatives affected in Ohio right now is holding up?

Fox News got election fraud info from woman who claims she got it through ‘time travel’: lawsuit

Fox News got some of its information on “election fraud” allegations against Dominion Voting Systems from a woman who claims she got the information through a form of “time travel,” the election equipment company’s lawsuit alleges. This detail of the Dominion lawsuit was first flagged by NBC News’ Ben Collins on Thursday, as part of a segment Dominion highlighted between pro-Trump lawyer Sidney Powell and Fox News host Maria Bartiromo, who was communicating with her and amplifying her message on her program.

About a year into the pandemic, I accidentally discovered that a close friend of mine was a Republican of the genus Trumpicus. I innocently asked her if she’d gotten vaccinated yet, and she replied that she wasn’t going to because the vaccine had killed thousands of people around the world, adding that this wasn’t common knowledge because the media wasn’t reporting it… Also, she added this thought – I’m paraphrasing: Pandemics happen – always have and always will. So, a group of folks that would yawn in the face of a world-wide pandemic – and yawn they did – aint gonna give a rat’s a$$ about things like industrial accidents. Right, and if anyone out there doubts the necessity of regulations, that person needs to go over to Turkey right now and witness what the lack of these has wrought.

As bad as that mess was, I can’t help thinking how much worse it could have been if that 20-mile “undetected” hotbox had been under a full chemical tanker instead of a hopper…

You’d think that all the righties who were blaming Biden for high gas prices would’ve been singing his praises when gas prices came down less than 6 moths later, right? But no. At that point it was all “The president has no control over gas prices.” Which is true. And which was also true 6 months earlier when they were screaming about his being asleep at the switch.

Now their tune is that all blame for railroad disasters can be laid at the front door of the White House. What do you suppose they’ll be saying next Thanksgiving when we’ve gone 6 months without any? “Gee, Biden has sure done a great job ensuring train safety in this country, huh?” Yeah, sure they will. Got any money you’d like to put down on that prop bet?

So, if conservatives are blaming the Biden administration for not overturning Trump’s overturning of Obama policies, does that mean that they actually support Obama’s policies? They really don’t think corporations should get away with whatever they want to do to make a profit, even if it hurts others? Is that what they mean?
