Taking out the garbage was my job for the first 44 years of our marriage. Suddenly this past year husband insists on taking out the garbage – and he hates anything “icky”. (He has suddenly developed a fear that something will happen to me and I will not able to take care of him.)

I was packing up the upstairs garbage to bring down today (Sunday) and then remembered – tomorrow is a holiday – no pickup. So I changed the reminders in my cell phones to tomorrow night.

What?? Him exert himself??? Hah!!!

56 times? Harrell is full of bovine excrement and as depicted, Laura is a slow learner

Last time I put it out early the wind came up, knocked the container over and blew a bunch of paper heaven knows where. I also picked up trash out of my yard from some neighbors blown over trash.

why put off til tomorrow what you can make your kids do today?

Maybe if she didn’t wait until he was ready for bed before asking she’d get more cooperation?

She could do it.

My mother in law bought me a nice pair of slippers for Christmas

I dont wear slippers often, but it has been cold and icy between the front door and the trash can and they are warm and comfy

I get along with her, but there is a great joke there that I think of my mother in law when I take out the trash

Oh how wonderful. Now we have to deal with trash talk on GoComics. ;-)

Reminds me, as soon as my wife gets up, I have to gather up all the trash in the house and take it out.

I’m not certain how, but both our last house and this one are on the early, early pickup; so out it goes in the afternoon before. I have to put the bins way out in the road because people parking near our driveway prevent the trucks from getting close.

Call it a snow day. No adult school assignments.

Time for a genuine “Rose is Rose” trashcan moment.

I can put my trash out the day before. Four blocks away it’s another town and they have to get up early on trash day to put their bins out so the bears won’t get at them. I dunno how the bears can read those “City Limits” signs…
