If you watch reruns of Beretta, that might get your bird interested in watching it.

Are you saying you can dig it? Never developed a taste for TV, the 45/15 should distract most people but id does not. (45/15 45 minutes of advertising for every 15 minutes of programing. Was designed after American football)

About that show. It’s been what 10 or 11 seasons now that its been on and they still haven’t found the pirate’s buried treasure yet? I heard that the newest owners of the island are spending more than a million dollars per year on equipment because they can. they are multimillionaires. It makes me wonder if the pirate’s treasure from about the seventeenth century was even worth half of $10 million dollars.

There is no need to follow the show. If they should ever find anything on Oak Island, it will be everywhere in the news.

I had cable, but I gave up my TV entirely decades ago, when I realized that I was spending more time searching for something worthwhile than actually watching something that interested me.

I first read about Oak Island in the 1950s, about the same time I first read the “Gold Bug.” Couldn’t stop thinking about it. Coolest mystery on earth. When these guys are done they are going to find that when Columbus came to NoAm he was 400 years too late.

A show about futile activity on an island. Bob Denver and Alan Hale Jr. did it much better.

They’ll never fond the treasure on Oak Island. Then they would lose all three viewers…

They do drag it out.. It’s become one of those soap opera things that go on for ever with no progress. Everytime I hear “this could be an important clue”.. I hit the fast forward button on the remote.

Never heard of that show. Assumed it was a made-up title intended to make fun of some other show I’d never heard of, but no. Sounds as if the Geraldo Rivera one-shot in which he found nothing in Al Capone’s vault somehow got expanded into an interminable series. Why?

In 1961, the Chairman of the FCC gave a speech at a convention of broadcasters. Here is a quote from the speech:

When television is good, nothing—not the theater, not the magazines or newspapers—nothing is better.

But when television is bad, nothing is worse. I invite each of you to sit down in front of your own television set when your station goes on the air and stay there, for a day, without a book, without a magazine, without a newspaper, without a profit and loss sheet or a rating book to distract you. Keep your eyes glued to that set until the station signs off. I can assure you that what you will observe is a vast wasteland.

In Jason Snake Lover’s case, would the treasure contain pieces of nine?
