human labels are arbitrary in the cat realm

The other beds are more appealing to the kitty.

Everything is a cat bed. Except for cat beds.

Ninja Cat always gets into clean laundry before you can knows it.

Cats sleep everywhere they’re not supposed to.

I don’t understand the attraction for cats to lie on the computer keyboard. Ours did it, it can’t be all that comfortable.

Most cats will sleep just about anywhere …

Everyone knows cat beds are for cat toys.

My cats do all of the above. I can’t have houseplants any more.

Our girl had a LARGE (3 feet diameter by 1 1/2 feet high) plastic tub and she slept in it on her own blanket every night. One day my wife decided it was time to wash her blanket and put it into the washing machine, she got interrupted and had to answer the phone or something and when she got back our cat was in the washer on her blanket looking up as if to say “Is this my new bed?”. I was fast with the camera and we have a photo of that on our office wall.

No truer comic was ever drawn. What ever we buy for cats gets ignored…except for the box it gets shipped in.

That is so true. I’ve bought cat beds and the cat wouldn’t even try one of them. (I gave it to a dog, who loved it) Put a piece of paper on the floor or a box that is waaaaaay too small for her and she’s on it right away. I have clients that come here occasionally and if they leave their bag or coat draped on the floor, by the time they’ve left, she’s made herself quite comfortable.

I used to bring my newspaper to the when Taboo was still with me. It was irresistible to lay across an open paper. If it was the puzzle page, I’d reluctantly allow it.

I leave the carrier out all the time, so the cat doesn’t freak out if I only take it out for vet visits. He naps in it now.

Put the bed on a high shelf. And be careful when you walk past it. It is now a pounce position.

I’ve always wondered…. how the heck do they seem to instinctively KNOW to ignore only those things we buy for their specific use and/or enjoyment???

Kittys sleep where it’s warm…cozy

If you buy them a scratching post, they may still annihilate your sofa.

It has the smell of its loved one…
