There are so many who wear the same hat day after day and snugged down so tight I begin to think their hats are grafted on. Of course, with the one size fits all tag, a lot of them might need to be tacked on.
Many who wear them habitually will admit that they are a substitute for good personal hygiene. Can’t be bothered to wash or comb your hair…, baseball cap!
Most winter caps don’t have a peak to block the sun. I’ve found that a ball cap with a neck warmer stretched up over your ears is the best winter gear. It good to almost zero F (-18 C) unless you are skiing or speed skating. At speed, the wind will freeze your forehead below about -10 C; and you need a balaclava.
I wear them in both sun and rain because the visor is effective at keeping sunlight out of my eyes and raindrops (and snowflakes) off my glasses. Maybe Caulfield will discover this if he ever has the need to wear glasses.

One assume one can wear a baseball cap in more circumstances than playing baseball. Just as one can wear a pith helmet and…..

It may show my age but I get somewhat peeved at guys who keep their hats on inside, especially ballcaps, in restaurants

Caps help keep water out of the eyes when it’s raining!

No wonder so many men go bald…covering the hair all the time is unhealthy..and unhygienic..

I am 70+ years old and I do not give a $h*+ if they wear hats inside or not. It is nothing. A non-issue. MOX NIX 100% 230125we

@JeffMallett – they play in light to moderate rain, but not in heavy rain, snow, fog, bees….
PS- love the strip!

I NEVER wear a baseball cap, so the universe is in balance now.

I get the impression the ever present cap is similar to a Teddy Bear. A sense of security in some way. I’ve stuck with the Teddy Bear. My buddy.

Why is Caulfield the only student there?

MLB games are rain delayed because the summer storms tend to include lightning… a danger to people standing in an open field.

The only time I wear a ballcap backwards is to keep the sun off the back of my neck (when walking away from the sun).
