The first time I saw the night sky away from any lights it blew me away, I had no idea how beautiful it was!

Maybe a foreign government could do something similar – flying (something that looks like) a “weather balloon” over the U.S. and using it to knock out part of our power grid.

At Woodstock, stoned kids from NYC were looking at the stars in awe for the first time, having lived their entire life under streetlights.

We are losing our relationship with nature in even more ways. Sad.

I wish there really was a switch I could pull. There’s so much light that comes into the bedroom that it’s hard to get to sleep. And when DST kicks in, you can toss sleep out the window.

I live out in the sticks, so I get a view like this most nights when the moon is not up.

That’s what it looks like when we’re camping in the Rockies. It’s spectacular.

I used to live in Wyoming at about 7,000 ft elevation, living conditions were a bit rough especially in the winter, but God Almighty the view was worth it. Besides the night sky, on a clear day we could see the Tetons to the north and the Uinta Mountains to the south. Those of you with a bit of geography should now know roughly were I was.

For reference, check out Perseverence Rover’s night sky from Mars. There is no place on Earth that is likely to give you this…
