“… Five potato, six potato, seven potato, more.”
I know … I only see five there to count (six – if he counts himself). (There could be more that we just can’t see.) … But it just didn’t seem right (complete) without completing the rhyme.
For a long time I thought the rhyme just went “…7 potato, 8, 9 potato, 10 potato, 11 potato, 12…” ad infinitum.
They could’ve done the same thing about bananas because of the theme song to The Banana Splits.
