I like Bucky’s version better than the current soccer … at least it would be entertaining, with more or less constant action.

I’d like to see ties resolved by simply dropping a player every couple of minutes. This would work in hockey as well.

Why is there a back up goalie, if there are no goalies?

Almost anything would make soccer more interesting. Including knife-wielding monkeys would be a definite improvement.

I have Europeans in my family through marriage, so I try to get interested in watching soccer, but…. it’s a no-go for me. Yawn. To me, soccer is just like ice hockey, but without the speed or excitement…or scoring.

OK, for once the Buckster is making sense…….

For everyone complaining about how boring soccer is I suggest you watch this year’s world cup final game. Absolutely amazing rollercoaster of a contest. And faking injuries and the bad calls didn’t happen at all due to the new video assisted refereeing and goal line technology.

The flopping in soccer is an affront to sport, made much worse with high-def and giant TV’s. I detest it.

Satchel has the best line there.
