Brutus has stayed true to his roots in the 99%. On the other hand the Chief waxing nostalgic about his start in business is a hoot. Definitely doesn’t strike me as the tea cozy type…
It’s interminable time between the beginning and the end that can be a drag. Another glass of wine? We need wine in boxes with comics, puzzles and clever quotes… like the cereal boxes used to have. (Notice I didn’t reference breakfast. Why limit it.)
Good ole Brutus Thornapple, The kind of loser that make even the mediocre look to be outstanding, In the bell curve of life, Brutus is the clapper hanging at the bottom of the bell.
Humble endings aren’t so bad, Brutus. You manage to earn a living to the extent that your wife doesn’t have to work outside the home, you have a roof over your head and food on the table. That’s more than a lot of people have.
There’s all kinds of success, Brutus. You’ve got a caring wife, a good son, a loyal dog, and, apparently, a good job. Despite boss man’s financial success, we never see a family.

They say that the meek will inherit the Earth. The question is do you want that inheritance?

About all Thorny has is his health, and you can’t bank on that.

Veeblefester associating with our intrepid Brutus? Veeblefester doesn’t strike me as the egalitarian type, he must need or want something.

No shame in being part of that very large club. Nice to know that the Chief can be personable on social occasions though. May be hope for him yet….

Slow and steady may not win the race for Brutus, but at least we know he didn’t cheat or use performance-enhancers.

A quizzical look on the chief’s face!

There are three ways to obtain a huge fortune:
1. Inherit it
2. Steal it
3. Get incredibly lucky.
Some of the ultra-rich use all three.

There’s two jokes in today’s comic, the other being a successful tea cozy business.

Better to stay humble than to turn into … say… Tim Cook.

Well it seems Veeblefester is starting off the new year with a certain degree of civility. I wonder what he’s up too.
